My Family and I ate here for the first time this evening. Nice restaurant. Friendly staff. We had ordered the Cobb Salad as a... Appetizer to share. The ranch dressing is amazing! The salad was fresh and yummy. As the meal we had ordered the PestoMargherita pizza and it was delicious!!! We had also built our own pizza of Pepperoni, Sausage, and onion. Yummy!!! The crustis thin and not super doughy. Prices are a bit high but the food is so good that it's worth paying the extra bucks. We willdefinitely return! Read more
Our favorite place to eat in HKY, hands down. Staff is great, atmosphere is great, and the food is SO good. My only complaint is... that the pizza, chicken tenders, and brussle sprouts are so good, I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet. Go try it, youwon't be disappointed. Probably the best restaurant in hickory. No restaurant is perfect but this one is close. The staff is very kind and even when... dealing with new members of the crew I've been impressed with their patience, kindness, and professionalism. They recently had aremodel and the decor is very modern and comfortable. With warm wood and medium lighting throughout it makes you feel at home.All the food I've seen is quality, and delicious. We go almost every weekend since we discovered them and even had them caterour wedding! The management, owners, bartenders, cooks, and wait staff are all excellent, kind, and caring. Friday means the end of a week and all you want to do is have something wonderful that will bring in the weekend and summarize... the end of your week. We got just that at Woods that day. The staff were so warm and welcoming and during lunch feel free to sityourselves, pick your best seat. This day we sat at the bar and we have never been more glad that we made that choice. We had acouple drinks and in this picture it shows a drink that will later be a part of the vodka infusion bar they are creating. Forlunch I had the Reuben sandwich which has always been a favorite. Let me tell you though at Woods from the bread to the meat tothe saurkraut each item had that sandwich making my taste buds go crazy. The bread was perfect the pastrami was well seasonedand cooked and saurkraut was truly the "cherry on top". I had a side salad with my sandwich which was also very good but whathappened next was so AWESOME and completely unexpected. My coworkers child has an extreme dairy allergy and isn't able to eatthings like pizza which is one of Woods biggest menu items with their wood stove pizzas. The owner told us he also had a childwith severe allergies and wanted to make us something we could take to her that was dairy free and she would enjoy. The ownerliterally made us a pizza with garlic aioli topping and an amazing robust tomato sauce that was out of this world. You see itpictured in my photos from lunch. It doesn't look like much but the thought he put into it and literally didn't charge us butwanted someone to enjoy something like pizza that would literally make them forget that they hadn't had any. The owner at thisrestaurant and his staff all went above and beyond. We felt less like customers and more like family. Seriously more than 10stars ???? for this establishment. Love the atmosphere. Happy they had great choices. A Wednesday night at 5:30 not busy. Very good service. Food came out... quick. Food was good enough that I'd go back, but a little pricier than it should've been, considering the type of restaurant itis. Example, for the price of my ahi tuna tacos that were good, I could've eaten a nice salad with grilled salmon and betterwine that was GREAT, at a fancier establishment around the corner. My husband's burger was just ok he said. A bit healthierbeing grass fed organic, but still nothing special. So, will we go back? Yes. We'll try the pizza next time. Read more
I was invited to a lunch and learn regarding the housing market in our area. This place has a large multipurpose private room... big enough for our group. Our food choices were all paid for by the sponsors, which was so good. The manager was attentive toour needs and made sure our needs and resources were available. The outside seating offers an excellent place for fresh airduring this cooling season?the sit-down bar for wine lovers and hand-made pizza for kids and adults alike.
