Not my first time here..but the quality of food seems to be declining. Canned green beans, borderline burnt sweet potato fries, ... dry, overcooked and greasy burgers. I realize restaurants are short-staffed, however, for the prices here, you would expectdecent quality food. The "manager" (older woman) snapped at my Mother-in-law and was quite rude which is unacceptable. I havegiven this place multiple chances and have continually been disappointed. Read more
I had the special chicken fried chicken last night. The waitress said it was the best she had ever had. It was crispy and... had a good amount of gravy but could have had more. The flavour was not bad but I would still prefer to have Cracker Barrel Chicken Fried Chicken which has a better flavor and is more moist. The mashed potatoes were really good with garlic and potatoskins mixed in. The green beans had a great flavor but I had three bites that had stems from the plant in with them. Restaurant was clean and quaint. I would like to try their burgers at some point to see how they taste. Our waitress was verypolite and attentive to us. Read more
Hubby took me here for my birthday lunch, ambiance was nice, our waitress Jade was great!! I had a bowl of potato soup, it was... delicious!! We chose to sit outside during lunch, it was a nice afternoon and the outdoor seating was shaded from the sun. The mussels in... the spicy red sauce were great, we really enjoyed the flavor of the dish. The chicken and rice soup was hearty and very tasty, Ilove a good soup! My only complaint (I'm trying to hold back because it's not really a complaint) was that my Bloody Mary wasstraight vodka with a splash of tomato. Food is always great. My French Dip was a little fatty, once I cut off the fat it was really good. I just felt like the kitchen... should have noticed & cut that off before serving. The sandwich was fresh, was well plated & the hand cut potato chips weregood. We always get wings as appetizers & theirs are really good. My fiance had a club sandwich & french fries & was verypleased. Our waitress was in her late 40s to 50s & acted like waiting on us was hard on her physically. She was not near asattentive to us, as she was much more upbeat & interested in talking to a guy at the bar, so we never got refills on ourbeverages. We won't let either stop us from going by any means, it was just really odd to have things be even this off. You getgood value for your money, & good service more often than not, & in today's weird hired help & food chain supply issues they arestill 95% out of 100% & that's wonderful. ???????????????????? Not usually one to think negatively about this place, but when it was towards the end of our meal, I ordered my FAVORITE desert... to go. The waitress brought it in a paper bag, luckily I checked the bag before walking out the door and in it, was a completelydifferent desert. My Father finds her and asks her about it. And, the waitress told him that they were out of what I wanted soshe thought it was close enough. She hadn?t even asked if I wanted something else just assumed I?d be okay with a completelydifferent desert. Which I would have taken the other desert, I just thought it would have been common Courtesy to ask? Otherthan that the service was nice. Food was good.
