Great staff, clean restaurant and hubby says men's bathroom was good. We had cat fish fingers, they were delicious. Our main... food was a 4 meat deal and we chose brisket, chicken, pulled pork and sausage. The meat was great. We both didn't like the Coleslaw, it was called Dixie, and it was to vinegary to us. Host was very polite, there was a short wait, but the lake view made up for it. Waited on quickly, sweet tea, soda and an... appetizer. Tea came w/o ice, had to wait for ice. Then tea wasn't sweet, no waitress to be found. Different girl brought lunch,still no app. Asked for Sweet tea and app. Girl 2 brought app, still no tea. Girl 1 finally brought sweet tea and left w/orefilling wife's empty soda. By the time girl 1 came to refill soda, my tea was gone. Guess what, brought me a glass ofunsweetened tea again. Pulled pork was tasty but not pulled well. 50/50 meat/fat. Home fries limp, baked beans dry. Really feelsorry for the man hosting, probably the owner. Found this location after a bad experience at another restaurant. So happy we did. We did not feel out of place at all. Everyone... was friendly & the food was awesome. We didn't get a chance to take pics, but will on our next visit. The skins were the best.Also had the jalapeño poppers & brisket. Loved the selection of BBQ sauces as well. Excellent service. I ordered the brisket for $13.50 and got one very thin slice with lots of fat. Everyone else I was with got... a nice meal of pulled pork and ribs. I ordered the wrong meal and don?t recommend the brisket. Read more

When traveling, I always like to check out the local BBQ. This location had pretty good reviews, so we decided to check it out... while visiting in Helen, GA. First off, we had a great server. She was very polite and on the ball. My wife ordered a BBQ plateand I ordered a Rib plate. Our food came fairly quick, nothing to complain about there. I noticed right away that my ribs werekinda tough... Could be a preference, by I like mine falling off the bone. They had a good flavor, just tough. The servernoticed right away that something wasn't right and came right over. As soon as I told her, she offered to get me something else.I had already tried my wife's BBQ, so I just asked for some BBQ. I was eating my onion rings when my new plate came, brought bywho we think was the manager. It was a complete plate with beans and onion rings just like on my original order. Since I wasmunching on the onion rings, she told me to keep both plates and to eat whatever I like ( I was only expecting them to bringsome BBQ since there wasn't anything wrong with the sides). The BBQ was great! So were the beans, onion rings and the fries mywife ordered. They also have multiple sauces from sweet to hot, from vinegar to tomato or mustard. I tried them all!! and theywere all very tasty! After completing our meal, we had a real nice conversation with our server. I wanted to thank the manager,but never got the chance. It was near closing time and she was busy organizing the back area that had already closed. By beingthere at closing, it was obvious that they made every effort to clean everything before leaving, very impressive! The otherworkers even stepped up to allow our server to continue our conversation, which to me shows it to be a great workplace.
