LIFE CHANGING!!! Went here with a friend and neither of us had ever had Afgan food before, so we didn't know quite what to... expect. We very much appreciated our waiter Eli who helped us navigate the menu since it was our first time. We ordered theKaddo Borani and a bread basket for starters which was amazing! Then we shared the Lamb Shank which was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!Lastly we ordered the Fereny pudding for desert that was the perfect way to end the evening! Could not have been any happierwith the food, service, and hospitality of Kabobi By the Helmand. Will absolutely be back! Read more
Food was absolutely delicious. Great find! Highly recommend for anyone to stop by and try it. This was my first time trying... Afghani food. I has no idea where to start on the menu but the gentleman working listened to my food preferences, and made anexcellent recommendation. I got the Lamb Kabuli Pallow. Read more
The restaurant itself was pretty nice and open. But we didn?t like the food much or may be we were just expecting too much from... the reviews. I guess waitresses needs to explain their menu a bit more in detail to new customers. We ordered kabuli withboneless chicken and chicken lawand. It was highly priced as well. My offer to you is to visit other Afghanrestaurants in the area like K Kabob in Chantilly, or Darya Kabob in Sterling. Compare their portions, prices and service withyours. Excellent Naan and Hummus. Had the chicken and lamb kabobs. Spiced just right, hot and fresh. Good sized portions, filling but... not overwhelming. Service was quick and friendly. Ate inside the restaurant, tables were clean and so was the bathroom. Overallvery pleased and well deserving of the current 4.5 stars on Google. Had s great lunch here with a few of my work colleagues. Really nice vibe on here, with a nice cultural aesthetic. We came in... and had plenty of seating for our group. The manager/gentleman who took our order was quite friendly and made some greatrecommendations. The food came out hot and was delicious. We had a little bit of everything (lamb, chicken, chickpeas, dessert).Overall a great experience, and will definitely recommend to others and come back! Read more
I was looking for a restaurant that offers vegetarian dishes. This showed up on Google Maps and the reviews and pics in Google... convinced me to give it a try. My friend and I arrived and was greeted by this friendly waitress at the counter. She was so niceand helpful. We tried the eggplant appetizer and it was delicious! I ordered the lamb shank and my friend got one if thevegetarian bowls. He really liked it as I really like the lamb shank. I later learned from the cook at the counter that the lambare free range from Australia. I will definitely come back. The food and service are exceptional! I went with my family to eat Sheer Yakh but We got big time scammed ?????? by Kababi By Helmand restaurant, on the menu says... sheer Yakh with cardamom, pistachio, walnuts, qimaq, non of these were true words, they brought us 3 scoop of regular Walmartice cream, with a sprinkle of a cardamom on top, and for that we had to pay $20 dollar, I would never again go to thisrestaurant, and will never ever recommended to anyone, why because they should be honest with their customers.
