A couple of friends and I stopped in after a long day of class because we had to introduce someone to boba. Unfortunately, she... wasn?t a fan, she doesn?t really like sweet things she said, yet was curious to try it and see what the hype was. I got myusual mango milk tea with strawberry popping boba. Very very good. I also got the soup dumplings. Coming in at 2 bucks a pop($9.99 for 5), I had big expectations?.. and boy did they deliver. I found these things delicious! An easy 9.3/10 for me. Thesauce they came with was the perfect compliment to them. Despite the price, I think I will be back for boba and a snack onceagain (maybe I will get regular dumplings next time). So I decided on this place after seeing the bad reviews for bonfire and I kinda wished I had tried that one instead. I ordered... the veggie rice bowl the veggie bao dumplings and the orange lemongrass peach tea and was looking forward to it all very much.So let me start with the good. The tea was delicious. I highly recommend it. I would possibly come back and just order that.Refreshing an ok amount with fresh orange and peaches (albeit from the can) and a lot of ice that all took up a lot of space inthe cup. But still tasty. Now for the bowl. Bland White rice and steamed veggies with sauce haphazardly thrown in. Definitelynot enough veggies for the rice luckily the veggies were fresh but again hardly enough. The flavor was only in the sauce andthere was quite enough of the either. The soy sauce egg was ok but they only give you half the egg and it did not give enoughflavor to go around so another disappointing thing there. The most disappointing thing was the tofu. It was just sliced and putin. Not fried or anything it seemed. Maybe just heated up slightly. The texture of the tofu was gross and almost made the bowlinedible. I asked them if they would fry but they rudely told me no there was nothing they could do and walked away. I reallywanted my money back at that point. I was hesitant to try the seared dumpling by this point. It had a green dot on it. I laterfound out that this was how they identified the different types of dumplings, I think it must have been a food coloring orsomething. The dumpling was pretty flavorless on the outside the veggies were once again just OK I definitely would notrecommend and I would not order that again. All in all they really are only getting two stars because of the tea being prettygood, I definitely would not go back here and I would highly recommend if you are looking for some flavorful food that youchoose somewhere else to go. This place has VERY good soups and dumplings! The one on the far left is the small veggie soup and the far right is the small... beef shank soup. The platter in the middle is the pork and cabbage pan-seared dumplings. And the boba tea is called "black tigertea" - so good and perfect for a sweet tooth! First time I've ever reviewed a restaurant on Google. Am I doing it for the free Boba you get for spending $30+ and writing a... review? Sure! But I'm also doing it because the food was absolutely delicious. We had the seared pork and cabbage dumplings andsoup dumplings. Our plates were clean. While I ordered two more seared bao, my wife was slurping down the soup dumplings as weboth closed our eyes at how delicious everything was. The mix of fried and fresh ingredients were incredible.
