Phenomenal perogy pizza! Speaking on behalf of two pizza fanatics, this pie was not quite like anything we?ve ever had before:... big soft potato chunks, plentiful green onions, subtly spiced sour cream sauce, and delicious crust (sort of semi deep dish butlighter and less oily than that style usually is). Oh, and the most satisfyingly crispy top layer of cheese baked over it all.You must try it if you?re ever in the Herbert area! With friendly and quick service, this spot definitely qualifies as a hiddengem. Really pleasant park just a few blocks down the road too, great spot to eat if you?re getting food to go! Read more
We enjoyed our travelers visit to the Highway Inn a couple of weeks ago. Our family traveled from BC to Herbert to visit family.... A funny little story. The seven of us arrived about 30 minutes before closing on a quiet weekday. Then, a short time later, fourmore locals arrived and the server began to look nervous. We discovered she was the only one there as I suspect they weren'texpecting a crowd. But, she was up for it! She called her mom, who came over and help. And, shortly after that the owner droppedoff a delivery and helped her out as well. We had a great time and enjoyed the food. We'd go back anytime and I'll be anxious totry their Indian food. If you are heading to Herbert, I recommend this country restaurant. Read more
A great place to satisfy your Indian taste buds. It is situated in small town but easily accessible for the traveller's taking... this route from regina to Calgary or towards swift current. Do not hesitate to ask the chef if you want to order something outof menu becuse if the ingredients are available then he would love to serve your choice with pleasure. It takes courage to runan Indian restaurant in a town of as less as 1000 people and no one from east India. The food is prepared with passion andserved with love. Do visit it when ever you pass through this route. Remember that it close at 8pm because the town sleepsearly. They do take catering order and also serve Canadian breakfast. Read more
