A nice surprise! It looks like a simple country diner but the food is simply deliscious with some surprising items on the... menu. I love the salad with nut-crusted brie and the bone-in ribeye was excellent. Also a very good shoo-fly pie. Excellent foodserved in a simple way Read more

Not too sure about all the positive reviews of this place. We arrived for lunch on a Monday based on the many reviews found... here on Google. That said, food was abysmal and inedible. Ordered chicken francese, their special steak tenderloin tips, fries, and 2 burgers medium. Chicken francese came without any pasta which is a first for me but okay. Tenderloin tips tastedlike rubber, scallion potatoes tasted bad, fries tasted like they used old oil to fry them, burgers came out medium rare, andone the sprite's tasted like soapy water. We barely touched our food and asked for the check. Service was great and ambiancewas cool but the food was just awful. I would not recommend this place nor would I go back. We winded up going to red lobstersand Wendy's. Read more

We saw a big crowd so decided to try it out. The dining room is not very big but people were willing to wait. Food was very... fresh, homemade fresh veggies and soups. Good choices. Desserts galore. Very hard working staff. Enjoyed it. It was worththe wait Read more

We came here from NYC as a family of 3 for some good local Poconos food. The food was very decent and so were the prices. The... only issue with the food was the fact that the Delmonico steak came in raw when I ordered medium. The 2 stars is not because ofthe food, it is due to the poor service we received from the waiters. We asked to switch tables and were denied becauseapparently you couldn't switch tables after being seated. Then when we decided to share the large dishes there was a 5$ fee forevery meal shared. We found this outrageous, any restaurant in NYC would've closed if the service was this horrible. Lastly, when we took the food to go we had to pack it ourselves and no forks were given. Would avoid Read more

Delicious food and, good location Service was good. our server did forget our drinks both times we asked. But that?s okay I... understood because of the short staff. I also got the Carrot cake and it was delicious!! One thing I didn?t like was that thebooths aren?t very spacious in terms of seat to table ( it?s a tight squeeze) unless you?re of petite size you?re good to go!Everything was delicious and has really good flavor! Just visiting the area, we stumbled upon this local owned & operated restaurant. By far its One the best Homestyle restaurants... Ive been to in a long time. The service was top notch all the way. Not a huge seating area SO BE PATIENT. The servers busttheir butts doing it all..AGAIN HAVE PATIENCE!! Whoever the woman Chef was in the kitchen is spot on with what we ordered. Ourcompliments!!! We didn't try any of the wide assortment of in-house made desserts, but wow they looked amazing! Prices arereasonable for the amount you get! We will be back before heading back to SC Read more

Wonderful little hole in the wall, definitely off the beaten path. This is in an area where there is almost NO cell reception,... so know where you are going as your GPS might cut out on you. Its easy to find. We passed this on the way to the candle storeand antique shop just down the road. We asked at the candle shop and they said this was a good place to eat....and it was. Hadthe sense that this is where the locals go. We were there a on the cusp of breakfast and lunch. We got breakfast. Wife got thecreamed chipped beef and it was very tasty, no your usual pasty white floury goo with the occasional bit of dried beef...this isthe real deal. We shared a piece of French toast which was done nicely (more cinnamon!) I had a traditional breakfast withscrapple. (look it up those of you from parts unknown). The scrapple was made at a local meat company. I have to imagine thatthe lunch menu would be just as good. All in all, yes, its diner food, but its diner food done well. I think I am the first toreview this place...how fortunate. Read more
