Tried slow burn hot chicken today in Hendersonville. Pretty good chicken. I got mild, to be safe, and it wasn't really spicy at... all. Next time, I'll order hotter. But it was hot and fresh, had a great flavor, the side of Mac and cheese I got was reallycheesy and tasty. And it was only $10. Definitely will be back soon. Service was fast, the woman who took my order was veryfriendly, and the restaurant was really clean. Gives a very good first impression. Plus, it says right on the packaging,homemade with love. Let me say that this hot chicken easily takes the #1 spot for current hot chicken places in Nashville and the surrounding areas.... In all my hot chicken experiences, this is second only to my very first hot chicken experience at the original Prince?slocation. That is how good this place is. The chicken is absolutely excellent. Moist, juicy chicken is fried so well and isextremely crispy. Crispiest chicken I?ve ever had! The seasoning is also incredible, with tons of flavor infused in thebreading. For spice levels, we went with the Slow Burn level (which is their ?hot?). We could have easily done another level or2 higher as this wasn?t that spicy. We got their half chicken option for $10, and this was an insane amount of chicken! Wealso got their hot chicken burrito. This was really good, but personally the half chicken itself is much better! It is a longwait for food even with no line. It took us about 35-40 minutes when we were one of only 2 groups in the restaurant. The wait isworth it though! Had to the pleasure of trying this Chicken restaurant, you can tell there is love made in the chicken tenders! The 3 piece with... a side is a very filling meal. The Mac and cheese was just how momma makes it. Being a Tennessee native, it reminded if notexceeding Princes chicken before the original location burned down. Great local place that I predict will only get better with time. I have a 2-piece bone-in with Singe heat (I think that was the... one, it was "Medium"...great spice, not overwhelming heat...just right). I'm not a true hot chicken fan after a traumaticincident at Prince's 17 years ago....LOL - (I survived, but just barely!) Anyhow - supply chain issues are hittingeveryone....the soda fountain was "out" - out of syrup on most flavors and out of gas. Luckily the lemonade worked and it wasjust fine. If I'd wanted a soda I'd have run to Sonic. My sides were coleslaw and fried okra. The coleslaw was good - everyonemakes it different and this was heavy on the mayo, celery seed, and pretty sure I tasted lemon juice in there - but it was darngood. The okra came out piping hot, and I got lucky on the chicken - they had a couple extra pieces ready to go so it came outquick. I was perfectly willing to wait the 20 minutes, though - perfection takes time. The chicken was in a box on a slice ofwhite bread - to soak up all the goodness. They included about half a dozen napkins and I needed 'em all! Good stuff - I'll beback. I don't generally say much about prices - but theirs are a bit too cheap! My meal was $12.00, drink included.
