Best Moscow Mule ever had. They make their ginger beer in house so you've never had one like it and you won't find another one... that compares. Boyfriend had the shrimp and grits which were better than any found on the coast. I had the duck which wasdelicious. The breast was served sliced, perfectly done and the leg was so good I had to pick up to eat, not caring what a nicerestaurant I was in. I could not let any go to waste! Read more
We went to shine for Brunch, and it was delicious! They made an adjustment to the Eggs Benedict to make them vegetarian. Good... coffee! If you are vegetarian, I would only come here for Dinner or Brunch, the Lunch menu does not have many vegetarian optionsbesides salads. Read more
Nice outdoor dining area & great service. Crab cakes were good, not great. Prosciutto salad was excellent. Burgers & fried... chicken sandwiches were very good. She crab soup was just ok. Nice ambiance on the inside, but we ate outside. Read more
Fantastic food and ambiance. It was lively without being noisy. Exquisite menu options with great flavor. A great place to... take your partner for a special date. We ordered a Cuban and shrimp tortellini, along with ginger beer and the chocolate moussecake thing (I forget the name). My only issue was the prices seemed very steep compared to what we walked in anticipating topay (according to the Google reviews). I also might recommend to management for prettier salt/pepper shakers/grinders, theywere underwhelming when brought to our table. Read more
I was underwhelmed throughout most of the dining experience. Most of it came down to the food itself. You are paying close to... fine dining prices but not getting the fine dining experience. We started with the pork belly bites and baguette. The herbbutter that came with the baguette was great, and the baguette was soft and crunchy. The pork belly bites were cooked properly,but the dish felt a bit sweet with the orange sauce that the pork was covered in. The slaw that came with it added a nicetexture, but it was also sweet. I ordered the tempura soft shell crabs and again, the crab was cooked properly, but it wasreally sweet this time. They put way to much sweet chili sauce or whatever sauce they were using on it, and it overpowered thedish. The staff at Shine was top notch! Tammy and Conner were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We had a large group and they were... able to fit us in despite our size! Thank you so much for answering questions for those with dietary restrictions and others whojust needed more information about the food. I?m sure we were a difficult table since most of our group was 45 minutes late tothe reservation. We are so grateful that we were treated with respect as we waited with our appetizers for the rest of the groupto arrive. The food was pretty average with other places but the staff was exceptional! Food was beautifully plated, the pankoshrimp were yummy, sweet potatoes were delicious, and cheesecake was the best I?ve had while eating out! Thanks again for beingso great to us! My wife and I visited this restaurant for a special occasion, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed the Tomahawk steak... special (must be ordered at least 24 hours prior to your visit), which was perfectly cooked for our tastes. We ordered anappetizer special of chicken liver pate and added the 1/2 baguette to accompany it. Service was attentive, good ambiance,lively without being noisy. We enjoyed the experience. OMG!! Bloody Mary?s to die for!! 6 of us for brunch and we each had a different dish.. each one perfect! Must try this place. So... appreciate the good waitress and the subtle classic music. Casual but upscale. Love it!! Prices are good too. Read more
