This was my first time going to a Chicken Shack . I have heard a little about them and seen a few , but never tried till today... . I have to say they have a steady amount of business in this location in this Smith's Grocery shopping plaza . I was atSunset Park today for the Age of Chivalry , also first time , and I don't get to the Green Valley area much anymore . I livedthere when I first moved to town in 1991 , but now live on the Westside . Anyway , I got the Original Buffalo Chicken Frieswith a Mt Dew . It was a good size portion of chopped up chicken tenders on top of fries with buffalo sauce and ranch . Ireally liked it and I didn't quite finish all of it , almost . So , I have to say you get your monies worth . The chickentasted fresh and the fries were just the right size for this dish . The employee working the register was cool and I liked thatthey were playing 80's music in the dining area . I would recommend checking this place out . I would like to come back sometime to this location or another closer to my side of town and try the bone in chicken wings . Read more

The food is great and the service is friendly and quick. However, I don't know if it's just this location, but the sauce sides... are almost a dollar a side, and usually they are a decent portion, but tonight they were in really small containers, like halfthe size of the original side sauce cups. I was just at a sister location a couple weeks ago and the side sauces were the usualnormal size, about double of what they gave tonight. Its weird to write a review based solely on the portions of their sidesauces. Maybe it was an oversight, or maybe it's a sign of the times with the economy cutting back while charging the same ormore, but it is something I definitely noticed and hopefully this trend stops. First time at Chicken Shack & LOVED it. The employees were so friendly & even took the time to explain the menu proportions to... me without making me feel rushed- trust me, I needed explaining and she was so amazing!! I ended up ordering Buffalo ChickenFries with 3 Fingers & the Tropicana Lemonade. The Buffalo Chicken Fries were amazing- it had fries, cheese, chicken pieces,more cheese & buffalo sauce. The fingers were honestly better than Raising Canes & Chick Fil A- not greasy AT ALL & they wereperfectly breaded pure chicken breast! All of our food came quickly & was fresh! For dipping sauce I tried the Hot Honey Garlicwhich was wonderful, Sweet Chili, Ranch & my all time absolute favorite dry seasoning Lemon Pepper. Personally love to dip thechicken finger in ranch, then dip it in the Lemon Pepper dry seasoning- seriously best flavor combo. The guys in our group endedup ordering Shack Burgers with fries. Great Chicken and Customer Service ! The chicken shack offers the standard chicken affairs that have become quite popular in... recent years. I ordered multiple menu items while on my lunch trip to this establishment. The stand out menu item definitely hasto be the Buffalo Chicken fries, the fries are cooked to golden perfection and the chicken has a great well seasoned taste. Thebuffalo and ranch give these fires the flavor pop that makes them so memorable. Next I had the chicken sandwich which was fine.The chicken was a tad bit on the dry side and the rest of the ingredients where fresh and the lettuce has a great crunch to it.My partner ordered the simple tenders with their hottest sauce and it was more than your simple spicy just to be spicy sauceother chicken places have. The chicken shack?s are all hand made and the taste proves it. You can actually see the species,grounded up peppers and seeds in their sauces. The customer service is amazing! Went on a Sunday during a lunch rush and hadfood at my table in less than 10 minutes! Although the Chicken Shack is a great establishment with awesome chicken and amazingcustomer service, I cannot put it above San Deigo?s Rhythm?s Chicken and Waffles.
