Its actually been a year or so since I've been in Metzgers and the last time I went in I was very disappointed. Got the jalepeno... poppers as an appetizers and they were cold in the middle. Food took 20 minutes to get to us. I got the pimento grilled cheeseand my mom got a burger. My mom said the buns were cold on her burger and my pimento GRILLED cheese was cold in the middle. Theonly thing good was the beer. Atmosphere was still nice. I really hope to get some better cooks in the kitchen. I used to bragabout metzgers to everyone. Now im just disappointed. Read more
Atmosphere was still great, but we went during lunch rush with a crowd and the burger was burned into a hard meat disc, I sent... it back. I think this place, its food, atmosphere and local folklore is slowly slipping away from the new owners, I hope theycan recover. This place for me was absolutely perfect. We had to order to go, due to the pandemic. They are limited menu makes it easy for... you to make a choice. We went with the chili, and it was a nice surprise to find out there was noodles in it. The chili had agood flavor and a nice bite to it. But I?ll tell you one thing you definitely have to get and that is the double cheeseburgerfully dressed. The paper was so soaked through with grease by the time we got home I knew it was going to be the perfectSmashburger.
