The place is cute and has seating both upstairs and downstairs. You order at the counter and it took about 15 minutes to get our... two sandwiches. The price was kind of high for what you get, but the food was good. The frappes we got we're strong but didn'thave much flavor. I recommend this more for a coffee and a baked good than a lunch or dinner stop. Read more
Ordered my drink wrong (had cash, preparedto pay), they made it again with no charge. Totally my fault and they still hooked me... up, and didn't have to. Super kind and understanding! And they even cut up fresh scotcharoos for us! They halloween decor israd, there are plenty of folks working so service is fast- first time in, but I'll definitely be back! Read more
When you order a pink and blue lotus drink and they give you blue food coloring in sparkling water. Then you turn around to have... them fix it and being a nice customer and clearly stating I am not trying to be a stick in the mud but this isn't right andpointed out that another customers drink looks as the drink is advertised and you get purple water returned to you instead ofmaking a new drink like any normal place would do to rectify any issue with a drink. Got light blue sparkling water to startwith and purple somewhat flat bullsh*t to leave with. I don't understand what is so difficult to make something right when it'swrong. Wonderful job 1889. Great place! Breakfast was amazing- price wasn?t what I was expecting. (Little high) although, they had gluten free options and... alternative milks. I would give 3.5 stars but the coffee wasn?t spectacular. Wasn?t awful just not my favorite. Read more

Great morning or lunch choice that?s truly half coffee shop and half full cafe. Full list of coffee drinks, plus really tasty... foods like breakfast bowls or burritos and bakery treats. Lunch menu also available any time. To top it off, big supporter ofveterans. Read more
My visit yesterday was quite brief but very enjoyable - I had the second half of my 8 hour road trip ahead of me, and they gave... me fresh ice water for my reusable bottle, gave great suggestions on a drink to try since it was my first time patronizing 1889,and then provided me road-trip-friendly food to go with! Wish I'd gotten the names of the very cheerful and helpful cashier andthe happy barista to note my thanks here! What great staff! Read more
