We had a great experience at The Heidelberg! It was very busy, but we were seated promptly. The server gave us some suggestions... when asked and took our orders. Because it was busy, the food took a little longer, but our server kept us informed. Our foodcame out and the portions were large. Absolutely delicious German food! Plenty of food that it is easy to share a plate. Great selection of German beers. The spaetzle... was divine and they have the best red cabbage. Inside and outside dining available. Read more
The food was good and atmosphere was nice. It sort of had that small homely feel even though it was a larger restaurant. My wife... and I both had the Ruben. It was tasty and they gave a pretty hardy serving. The prices were a little high and you were hit witha credit card fee. That is the reason for the 4 starts instead of 5. Read more
I was impressed with the portion of the food. The flavors were great except the goulash. The meat seems to be so dry that I... couldn?t really eat. When I expressed my honest feedback about dry meat the waitress was trying to say it is how it was preparedand she couldn?t do anything about it. I think she was overwhelmed by the crowds but still I?m surprised she became defensive. Ilived in Germany for 3 years so I roughly know how goulash taste like and they are definitely too dry.
