Great food and atmosphere at this grill. The hamburger was amazing, as was the chicken sandwich. Portions are large and we... have plenty for later. The charred onion dip was a nice change and the housemade chips are very well done. My son'scheeseburger was large enough for any child and very well seasoned. Read more
Wonderful roadside American with an incredible view. Nearly everything we?ve eaten here is fantastic, but the burgers and... chicken sandwiches are definitely the stars. Service is always great, and the patio is a wonderful place to grab a beer on awarm summer day. Read more
The first thing you notice when you walk in is the awesome view through the giant picture windows in the back of the restaurant.... You can sit inside or outside but there are some great seats inside with a killer view. The food is top notch, we had a reubenand the chicken tacos. Also learned while we were here that Fry Sauce was created in Utah. It's in most of the restaurants wehave been to. Staff all did a great job as well. Read more
I ordered the salmon tacos. The fish was well seasoned and firm. The salsa brought all the flavors together....a... masterpiece! Kevin was our server; he is friendly and has a great deal of knowledge regarding the menu selections, bar drinks, and specials. The Back 40 is a local favorite and has a thriving customer base. Was excited to try this as a former Heber resident since it has gotten some good buzz among the locals in the old stomping... grounds of ?The Other End?, Heber?s old bar. Service was good, but the food was just average. Was told to try the Back 40pastrami burger and fries. Either the quality of the meat was bad or they haven?t figured out how to season their meats longenough. It was also far overcooked for ?medium??fully brown all the way through. The pastrami was chewy and too thick instead offalling apart like the brisket should. It also has a block of cheese that wasn?t close to being melted. I appreciated that theyoffered a gluten free bun. The fries were also quite soggy and their housemade fry sauce needs work. If you?re looking for agreat pastrami burger and fry sauce, try Burgers Supreme in Provo or any of the Crown Burger locations in Salt Lake County. Skip the burger here though. The poke bowl was a pleasant surprise. And their Coke syrup mix is spot on which is important tome. I?d like to try a few more things on the menu. The setting is great for Heber. Just needs some work in the kitchen. Read more
