I would not eat here again. Service was good but the quality and quantity was poor. We were told a delivery didn't arrive and it... was the closing of the season so options were limited. Still for that price I expected more. Go to Moose-AKa's. Excellent foodand service. We heard Prospector Pizza was good too but didn't have time to eat there. Instead of the breakfast buffet at theAlpenglow, we went to the Black Bear Cafe. Good food but get there early for indoor seating. Excellent coffee! Read more

This is such a pretty lodge with stunning views. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Mac & cheese was bland and fish &... chips wasn't good. Looked like something from a microwave dinner. I don?t know how they did this, but they messed up fish and chips. The amount of meat was anorexic and smothered in fries. They... also managed to burn and dry out the fried fish?. I guess they had to cut back, because they burnt the rest of the fish evenmore than they did mine. My wife got the seafood pasta and it was depressing. The noodles were undercooked and the sauce waswatery. Looked nothing like the pictures, but we?d expect the food to be at least to the same standard. Overall, a horribleexperience. Service and drinks were good at least! They comped the pasta and discounted the fish and chips to a level thatreflected the quality. Good food, good service, very pricey. It's mostly tourists there anyway, which is probably the point. Supply chain is either... from Anchorage or Fairbanks so don't expect them to always have everything. Also, pack your patience, Alaska is experiencinghigher than previous guests and not enough staff. Out of a picture for the veiws. Walk around the trails or the hotel area. Great veiws from all over in these parts. Few meat... items. Lots of sea food options to choose from. Lots of wines and some domestic beers. Deserts like this. More and more. Read more
