I must have come on the worst day possible because based on the reviews the reason I decided to stop by, this place is the best.... I did not get that at all. Said place open at 3pm got there at 3pm not open until 3:45. There was no food I had to wait for thisnasty catfish nuggets, don't think they we're cooked long enough and soggy fries. I don?t know why it?s so hard for restaurants to do this but cook the food and make it take like home. Like somebody Grandma or... Auntie in the back cooking. But Louis Lou?s did that. Shenesia made me feel like I came to her home for a meal. Seasoned right.Good portion size. The atmosphere is nice. They treat you like family. That?s my family y?all. She told me to take a picturebefore I ate but I tasted the food and before I knew it I was already too gone. Here?s a picture of what I?m working with. Decided to try this restaurant on my way back to Chicago. The food was great! The Mac and cheese and cornbread Mac is delicious.... The Yams were amazing and chicken. Will definitely come back whenever I?m in STL. Read more
Macaroni, bomb. Sweet potatoes, bomb. Fried catfish, bomb. Had banana pudding for desert and ate that before my meal. I honestly... can?t think of a better plate of restaurant bought soul food I?ve ever had. Customer service was also bomb. I?d come back to STLjust for this food ???????? Read more

The pork chop was extremely tender and well seasoned. Sweet potatoes that seemed to come straight from heaven. Turkey leg that... fell right off the bone. All with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Read more
The vibe is already very welcoming with amazing food. I HIGHLY recommend the cornbread mac.
