My husband and I visited this restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing and not to mention the customer service is second to... none. We had the street tacos and they were the best we've ever had. The Margaritas are amazing and is not made with cheapliquor. We started with two tacos each and we immediately had to order 2 more. We live in Madison, however the drive was soworth it. With all the Mexican Restaurants in the area, I'd say it's a little above average, which that is more impressive considering... many wouldn't think that with it attached to a gas station. I can only do pick up here though, the bright florescent lightingkills my eyes and the music is too loud. The sauce on the burritos and enchiladas is not very spicy, and leaves something to bedesired. I wish they had chili rellenos during dinner hours. Read more

So-so experience. Better than average for Mexican in Northern Alabama. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Agree with the... other posts here, the service was marginal. The Beef Chunks Chimicanga was decent the meat was tender but could use moreseasoning/flavor. The chips were over cooked however, the salsa was great. Read more

Excellent pacante salsa. Chimichanga's and fajitas are both great. Nice place to bring the family.

Fresh guacamole, medium zesty salsa, smooth and creamy refried beans, and ample seasoning all make the plates at Los Compadres... quite tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is brightly decorated and very clean. There's even a small bararea done in wood and tile. We beat the dinner crowd by getting there around 4:45p.
