Reviews for Olde Dominion Tavern in Haymarket, VA
The complementary fresh popcorn was a very nice touch (amazing flavor). The hot chicken sandwich was huge and tasted really good... (ask for a side of the spicy ranch that comes with the wings and dip your sandwich in it and come and thank me later) it comeswith a very generous amount of fries but mine came a bit cold (which was the only downside of the whole visit but I didn’tfeel it worth losing a star) the wings are a must try (a bit salty because if the rub). Finally, my girls loved the grilledchicken kids meal, I tasted it and it was surprisingly good.\n\nThe staff were very welcoming, responsive and had a big smileall the time.. Keep it up Olde Dominion ???????? Read more
I waited an hour for my food and never received anything. I even had to wait to close the tab. They payed more attention to... other people than me. I don’t want to make this receive racist but honestly I felt no attention was given to me at all. Ican’t tell you if the food is good because I wait an hour for my oysters and never received them. In my opinion the old barwas better. Horrible horrible first experience! Read more

I came... during a down time and wasn’t too busy but, the food has completely changed and for the greater good of our taste buds! Thereis now a wide selection of mixed drinks and whiskeys to die for! The people who use to frequent this location you might noticesome of the old staff who also came back and are the most attentive and caring wait staff I’ve met. I had apps and dinner here with friends last week and it was fantastic. We had the baked Brie appetizer and I had the salmon... salad and they were both just wonderful. The menu is very well done and theres something for everyone. I\'m actually going toorder the salmon salad right now for take out. Be sure to try it, it\'s nice to have a local restaurant that\'s this good. Read more
Loved it. Great atmosphere, food was wonderful, menu varied, good service. Will eat tjete again soon.
Seven of us went last evening at the soft opening. As you might expect, the service was a bit slow, but this was more than made... up by the great food and terrific servers and staff. At the end of the evening we met the owner, and despite an unexpected\"guest\" at our table, he was a most gracious host. We will definitely be back frequently. Read more
First off, the atmosphere is just ok. I personally hated the windows. They’re more reminiscent of a store front than a nice... restaurant. We found the seating comfortable and the people friendly. We ordered two appetizers for their Happy Hour buy one/getone. The crab deviled eggs came with 3 halfs and the venison meatballs also came with 3. They were $16 & $14 but of course wegot one for free. Had we had to pay $30 for these two ridiculously small appetizers, I would’ve been livid. So we don’t knowif they’re just making them smaller because of the Happy Hour deal or whether that’s the normal portion. Both were justok.\nI ordered the French onion soup and a half salad. The soup was decent. The cheese was very good but the soup itself a bitbland. The dressing of the tavern salad was very fresh tasting but the croutons were so salty I could not eat them. Hubby hadthe tavern burger with fries which were both very good. We also liked the banana split that we shared. Overall I think thisplace is way over priced and we would’ve preferred for a normally priced restaurant / bar that you can frequent becausethat’s what we’re missing in this area and had in the previous restaurant in that location.\nPlus a normal glass of wine is$14!!! Way too high, and the other drinks are over priced too. And the “Happy Hour” only gives you $1 off. We will mostlikely not be back. We miss the old place :( Read more
