My husband and I met some friends for dinner and had a great time. The restaurant is right next to Lake Hawkins with an outside... dining area and inside live entertainment. Food was amazing, the price was right and they had live entertainment. But the view of the lake was just spectacular
It's off the beaten path, but well worth the trek. The food is authentic and the views are spectacular. Wish is wasn't so hot... out, or we would have dined out on the deck overlooking the lake. Service was first rate and we were welcomed in as soon as wecame in. We had the Veal Parmesan, house salad, with fresh dinner rolls. Definitely bring your appetite. Read more
Fab views while dining. We ordered Mussels Posillpo with Garlic Oil for an appetizer and WOWSERS we dipped our complimentary... garlic knots in the yummy garlic butter. Deliciousness! We'd heard about Taste of Italy for a while, so we made a reservation for our 36th wedding anniversary. We sat next to the... windows, so we had a nice view of the lake. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, and it's some of the best I've had. My husbandis pretty picky about his Italian food, and he was very pleased. (He always orders spaghetti and meatballs because he thinksthat gives him a true knowledge of how good the food is. :) ) I had the Shrimp and Chicken Maximo with angel hair?delicious! Andour server was delightful and very attentive. The only thing I'd say as a negative is that the floor around our table lookedlike it should have been swept before we got there?there were crumbs and what looked like a wet napkin under one of the chairs.Not a big deal, just a little detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere, and we'll definitely go back when it'scooler so we can sit on the deck outside. Read more
Don't let the outside fool you! Much nicer and cozier on the inside with a lovely lake view and large outdoor deck with seating.... We had the house special which was stuffed flounder and it was superb. I also had the house-made vinaigrette on my salad and itwas delicious as well. My daughter's lasagna looked and tasted delicious and my other daughter just wanted fried shrimp; theywere large, butterfly cut Gulf shrimp and were cooked and seasoned just right.
