Wow! First time here and completely unplanned as our initial place was closed. Totally glad we came here. Pretty standard... diner/breakfast selection so I was not expecting to be impressed. Our waitress was very attentive and prompt. Our food came outquickly and the portions were bigger than expected. The taste, oh man the taste. Everyone LOVED their meals. Plates werecleaned except a few potatoes. The sausage gravy was hearty but still somehow airy. The bacon on the sandwiches was cooked toperfection. The biscuits were perfect, not crumbly or super dense - just right. The French toast wasn't super thick or too thin,tasted great. The home fries were fried with just the right amount of crisp, add a little Tabasco and bam - perfect. Pro tip,add some black pepper to the sausage gravy to taste and you're set. Excellent food in a nice comfortable atmosphere. The lunch menu has something for everyone and the entree includes soup or a... trip to the salad bar. The food is good and the service was great. If I could I would put 4.5 stars. Country Omlette was great with homefries and wheat bread. A little too much butter but not a... big deal. Wait time for the meal wasn't too bad at 11am. We also got a combo meal of waffles, eggs, hot Italian sausage, andloaded homefries. All were pretty tasty. Read more
This is my third time at this restaurant. I was here for a work lunch. We were seated immediately and the server came back... within minutes to get our drink orders. She sat one of the drinks down in front of the wrong person and when they realized andtold her she was very sweet about replacing the drinks. She didn't mess the food orders up and brought out the soups and saladsbefore the food orders and allowed enough time for us to eat the appetizers. The fajitas came out last but was sizzling hot andshe was sure to say be careful. The shrimp fajita was really good and it was a large portion, enough for leftovers. It wasdelicious and everything I've had from here thus far was delicious. I forgot to mention the cream of crab soup was amazing,there were 3 of us who ordered that and we all said it was flavorful, crab meat was in there and it wasn't too thick or thin,the consistency was just right. Most of the food ordered was delicious! I got the trio of crab cake, salmon, and shrimp. When asked, I said I wanted it fried. I... assumed that went for the crab cake only, as I have never had fried salmon before....well....everything came out fried. Likefried chicken. And the batter was not seasoned well. I have never had a fried crab cake cooked like that....and I was not a fanof the fried salmon. The rest was great. I was really impressed w the salad and how fresh it was. Read more
