We had lunch on a whim, and we were very pleased we stopped at Abbey Burger. I decided on the Baltimore burger. It was... delicious! The burger was cooked exactly as I ordered, the crab dip was flavorful as was the bacon. My hubby ordered the AJ10which he was enjoyed as well. I snatched up some of his tots that were served with it, oh.my! They were crispy and yummy! Theatmosphere was nice, and service was great. Everyone was friendly. The prices are as to be expected for the menu selections. Ican't wait to go back. We had our second lunch at Abbey Burger and my husband found his new favorite.. the lamb Burger withsweet potato fries. My burger on a pretzel roll was just as delicious as the first time. Kids tenders were a win with ourdaughter. I taste tested myself, and they are crispy and tender. I did a byo on a pretzel roll, Angus beef, pineapple, sautéedonion, Abby sauce, tomato and pickles. It was cooked medium rare just as I ordered, so delicious. I enjoyed it very much and amalready wanting to have it again. The service is slow the different times we went; however, with how crazy things are nowadays,we understand completely and it doesn't bother us, as we do know that everyone is struggling in some way. During the Havre de Grace Jazz & Blues Festival (multiple day event), I was introduced to the wonderful world of Abbey... Burger. Rather than get a burger, I decided on the shrimp burger (a hand made shrimp patty). Combined with my choice ofavocado, relish, and onion on a toasted English muffin , fries, and served with a chunky, round garnish of a seasoned pickleslice, I likened it to a generous order of shrimp toast (savory and flavorful) - minus the fried greasiness. We started with the pretzel with cheese sauce, we were happy with this choice, the cheese sauce had some spice so it wasn't the... normal we were used to. The special mustard that came with it was a little dry, so my brilliant wife added some yellow mustardto the mix and we were good to go. I had the simple AJ10 which was good, I liked the tots and cheese sauce it came with. My wifehad the mushroom mac & cheese and a field of greens salad with feta, both were very good. A great place for an inspired burger! The name and the door might be a bit small and hard to find, but worth the look. The bar... in front is a little cramped, but they make room for live entertainment. Down the hall in back is a quieter, larger dining room.The staff is friendly and helpful. The fried pickles were crisp and tasty, I wish there was a little more dipping sauce. It wasdelicious. I tried the lamb burger (olive spread, cucumber, romaine, herb yogurt,feta, pepperoncini, pita) with sweet potatofries and I was not disappointed. The ingredients were fresh and I really enjoyed the flavors. My husband had the bisonburger(bison burger, jalapenos, salsa, avocado, pepperjack,spicy crème fraiche , classic bun), cooked to his liking, almostrare. You can't get this just anywhere. Read more
Staff was very friendly. The food was Amazing . Atmosphere was a down home feel right by the water here in havre de grace.... Featured in the picture was a Baltimore burger. Included Angus beef with classic bun apple wood bacon topped with crab meat. And sweet potatoes fries. A must stop for a true foodie Read more
I was da super excited to take teenage son out on a "dinner date." I chose this new place in town because well it was new and... because we love burgers. He was super excited. We went on a night that it was storming and not busy. There was just a few ppl inthere w/us. Our food did not come together. Mine came out wrong. The Chesapeake burger came w/o crab dip. So when the foodrunner brought my son's burger, I explained this to him b/c the waitress was not around (another issue). He brought my burgerback w/so much creamy "crab" dip, that I couldn't even pick it up. There was hardly any crab in the dip. We continued on. Ourfries were brought out later than the burgers. In fact, we were finished our burgers (after scraping that hot mess off). Couldnot get refills b/c we didn't see the waitress on this ultra slow night until it was time for the check/tip. I will say willwill never be back. There are no excuses for poor service and poor food service when there's 6 customers in the joint. We decided to try Abbey Burger on a recommendation from my brother-in-law! We were not at all disappointed either. The selection... of meats for your burger is pretty impressive? From Kobe beef to camel (which is the meat of the month for August) there ispretty much something for everyone. For appetizers we got fried pickles and alligator bites. Both of the appetizers wereseasoned and fried perfectly, in fact the alligator bites were the best I?ve had anywhere. I ordered the Kobe beef burger MW w/let, saut onion, LM, and pickles sautéed onions. Wife had Alligator burger W w/ Tom, Pick, Abbey sauce, and cucumber. Both onpretzel buns. My burger was exceptional juicy and flavorful, exactly what I expected a Kobe burger to be like. My wife?salligator burger is hard to explain since we have never had anything like it? But it was absolutely delicious! Side note: Ourserver Amanda was very attentive, friendly, and responsive to our needs. All in all Abbey Burger provided us with a fantasticmeal. I've heard great things about abbeys burgers, but found it was just okay. Some of the food was overcooked. The flavors weren't... super exciting. Won't be on the top of my list to return to. Read more
