The curly fries were delicious and well seasoned. The shrimp on the Po?Boy was a little too salty and the sandwich could?ve used... some type of creamy sauce or even tartar sauce. I also ordered the apple cider mimosa which was 13 dollars which isn?t a greatprice for the amount that was poured. The size was probably around a 3/4 cup you don?t get much for the price you pay. I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to defend this place based on my experience after reading the negative reviews. I... almost declined to eat here after reading them! My first experience was at check in. I wasn't feeling well so I went to the barand ordered hot tea. It came out at a perfect temperature with a little setup of honey, lemon and sweeteners on the side. Idecided to chance it and have dinner later. I was very pleasantly greeted. I ordered a glass of wine and a burger. Both came outin a very timely manner and the burger was good and was cooked exactly how I requested. The fries were excellent as well. Just found out your location hosted the trophy tour for Ole Miss fans, right across the street from Southern Miss. What a... tasteless act! This makes you look like your owner/manager is still in Jr High! You just lost all hope of winning our business.Judging from many of the reviews I?ve seen, you need to focus less on being an Ole Miss fan and more on training yourpersonnel. It is sad to say that the best bar in Hattiesburg has fallen. I stay regularly and the decline is more and more evident. From... the days of Conner, Jordan and Lauren as bartenders, the meaning of CRAFT cocktails has gone away. One previous visit there wereno black cherries for an old fashioned. So on my next stay, I brought black cherries so that the cocktail could be authentic. Onthe next visit I forgot the cherries, and so did Brass Hat. The drink quality was subpar at best. A real shame. Will be backat Indigo again next week and will probably skip the Brass Hat to avoid disappointment. Read more
Me, wife, and 4 friends went to talk relax and eat in the evening. Brass hat use to be great but has gone downhill, service... wise. The drinks are still very good, however, the staff seems to all be younger and inexperienced. I had 7 drinks on my tabtotal and I was charged $102. There were several upcharges that didn?t make sense and when I asked about them the waitress did avery poor job of explaining them. Speaking of the waitress, she was absent most of the night. We kept waiting for refills andhad to get up and walk to the bar to get our drinks. She was nice at first but the more we asked her to do the more her attitudebegan to show. I guess she was mad that we were distracting her from flirting with the gentleman in the corner inside who shewas standing by talking to all night. After all that we were charged a 20% gratuity to sit outside and have some drinks, wedidn?t eat anything. Awwww!!! We arrive at 7pm and didn?t get appetizers until our dinner was coming out at about 9pm.. we asked for the drink... special and then our waitress come back to tell us they had ran out of the liquor to make the special. We were not informed thethere wasn?t free refills on fountain drinks (which is okay ) but our drinks were watering down from waiting on food not tomention they had also ran outta tea. So as we order food our waitress explains what?s each entrée.. after about 45 mins ofwaiting we see the table behind us receiving their food but when asked where that item was on the menu she couldn?t find it andthe told us they had also just ran out of pasta.. 9pm and the food arrives and it?s all cold none of the sandwiches were dressedaccording to the menu and the waitress tells us they only come bread and meat nothing else not even what?s on the menu, as weask for the manager she also inform us that we were looking at the ?WRONG? menu and they don?t know where those came from butthey had them set on the table as we arrived.. We had a fun evening here. After a long day on the road it was so nice to stop in here for a few drinks. Nikki behind the bar... was super attentive and knowledgeable of a the art of making drinks. We also had the crab cakes and salad. Both delicious. Definitely worth stopping by and having a few drinks. Read more
