These risotto balls are the *best* I've ever tasted. The crunchy exterior gives way to a light, fluffy, soft, savoury interior... with a delicious filling. The lady working there was very sweet and described how to reheat them if I waited to eat them laterso they would taste their best. HIGHLY recommend you try these. I splurged on 2, and felt deliciously satisfied instead ofoverstuffed and heavy afterwards. An added bonus they are GF, and will be introducing more options in the future. Light,crunchy, delicious! Small room with counter, fridge and display. There is also a TV screen on wall. The food overall is pretty good. The risotto... balls are extremely good. Don?t get me wrong. Really. DiRiso is not only home to the absolute best home-made Italian food in the Hudson Valley, extremely reasonable prices, a great... location and in-store ambience, but it is also the place to go for a gastronomic experience that will offer you the specialsomething that we all need, but which very few places still are able to offer - Love. Love is the major emanating taste one hasafter biting into any of their exquisite arancinis, breads, cheeses, sandwiches, lasagnas, etc. After sipping their coffee, ofcourse you can taste that beautiful, smokey flavor found only in the finest grinds the world has to offer, but you also get thesense that this establishment is run by people who actually care. They care about how the arugula is layered over theprosciutto. They care about how the mozzarella melts around the porcini. They care about how your bag is packaged and how youfeel when you walk out the door. Everything that you buy at diRiso tastes like heaven. You know immediately that the food is prepared fresh (amazing sandwiches)... and from very healthy and organic products. I have probably tried every single item there and were never disappointed. Myfavorite are mushroom arancini, pesto lasagna, freshly made mozarella, and grilled/baked peppers. No matter what I have tasted at diRiso, it has been fantastic. Bursts of flavor with only healthy ingredients. Often my eyes are... too big for my stomach and I buy more than I need. This just makes the next meal a delight or in the last case, I shared theextras with my Mom. So far I have tried all the risotto balls, the sandwiches, the fried calzone and the awesome Sfogliatellawhich reminded me of the old Italian bakeries where I grew up. diRiso brings back all those wonderful memories of irresistiblefood coupled with exceptionally friendly service.
