Reviews for Common Grounds in Hartford City, IN
Neat place for breakfast in Hartford City. Decor and tables are unique and staff is friendly. Food was good too.
Food is delicious and well priced!! The inside is so cool as well and full of history!
What a nice place in a little town. The owner Katie, is extremely awesome and sweet and accommodating as well. The coffee was... perfect and there are many to choose from. She also had with her a young lady named Rylee that made my dirty chai and it tastedabsolutely amazing. They both have great personalities and smiles that leave you feeling good about your visit. The prices areawesome not too high but exceptional for the quality of the coffee and service. I would recommend this to anyone. By the waythere's also ample area before having little meetings with friends and groups of people. Read more
The interior of this place, alone, is worth the trip! NO VEGETARIAN lunch options, but the muffin I got was delicious. Great... selection of books as well. The cream in their smoothies can be replaced with almond milk, too. Read more
This is a fun place, a coffee shop with a clever name that is a lot more than a coffee shop. We had just discovered this place... pre-pandemic, but it was so long ago, this was basically our first visit. We decided to order wraps + potato salad (side dish)and soup. The potato salad, tangy chicken wrap and chicken bacon ranch wrap were good, the soup was even better... cheezypotato, with a great blend of cheese and seasoning. Between two of us, we also got a whipped coffee and a dirty chai latte. Thewhipped coffee was a unique drink we've never seen before, with a sweeter layer at the bottom and coffee whipped on top, thelayers made to be mixed together as you drink. The atmosphere will be a bit busy or over-the-top for some, but others will findthe eclectic decor charming and fun. There's a good amount of space inside with plenty of tables, chairs, and couches toaccommodate all kinds of people. I wish we could award 4.5 stars, as this was a great visit, but I couldn't round up to 5,partially due to cost, which seemed a bit high for my frugal-leaning, value-for-money thinking. However, only slightly so, andI would much rather pay a little bit more at a unique, local place like this with a lot of character. 5 stars for thoseworking: they were happy, easy-going, answered multiple menu questions, and really knew the menu well, too, with what lookslike enough variety to make it interesting for multiple visits. Service was fast and friendly, although we were just minutesahead of a modest lunch crowd. If you've never been here before, it's worth going out of your way to check out out... Read more
Short visit in town and Common Grounds was highly recommended by local resident. We went to lunch and 3 of 4 ordered the chicken... salad. One person had it in a salad surrounded by veggies, a second person had it in a wrap, I had chicken salad as a sandwichon wheat. Delicious no matter how it was served. The building was a furniture store in a previous life. Highly recommend a visitto this unique coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch, smoothies, and more! No doubt if I lived here I would be a regular. Called in an order this morning for a breakfast biscuit egg and chz sandwich. I was trying to get the biscuit cups that had the... scrambled eggs, bacon, and chz inside of them. It has been years since I?ve been in though and sadly they don?t carry themanymore. (They were incredible) regardless I was served with a smile and my sandwich was tasty. Great way to start the day.
