We drove a total of 64 miles to come to eat at the Captain D?s in Harrisonville, Missouri. All of the locations near us are... either closed or the food is terrible so I thought Harrisonville might be better. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:40. pm. Thedining room was closed. Soon I?m sure the one in Harrisonville will also be closed since nobody wants to wait on customers after730 pm on a Friday night. Do you think we would really have driven this far for that? Read more

Cold shrimp. Had ask for replacement and girl acted like I was asking for moon. Fish and fries also cold. Bathrooms need... demolished and replaced. Don?t stop here folks. Just a warning. Help was arguing amongst one another out loud you could hearin dining area. Warning don?t eat here. Read more
We were in the drive thru for 30 minutes. We were at the window, paid, I was able to take in my 3 yr old to use the restroom... and my husband was still at the window, no food. Mozzarella sticks were great, everything else was below satisfactory. Read more
The best battered fish I have ever had. I have had fish at other places where you get really thin sliced fish with alot of... batter meaning more batter than fish. The fish at Captain D's is very good, high quality with excellent prices. Staff is veryhelpful, working hard to provide excellent service. Definitely recommend! I wish we had a location in Johnson County on theKansas side, location closer and I would visit frequently. Read more
I have to edit my earlier review. It must be another hit and miss kind of restaurant. Hubby went in today to pick up some lunch... for me. * 4/12/22 The fish was hard and discolored. Tarter sauce tasted soured. Fries were hard in some spots and soggy inothers. What is going on here? What happened? Such a shame. Money for lunch wasted. No lunch and very frustrated. I trulybelieve that this place needs a lot more work but, I have to say that when my son and I had lunch there a few days ago - it wasactually very good. The food was made fresh. It was hot. The place was really clean and the staff was respectful and reallynice. I will visit this place again. Read more
