They have a wide variety of drink options including some non alcoholic drinks. It's a nice place to meet up with friends. Great... atmosphere. I've enjoyed their trivia night, playing one of their board games, or just talking with friends. Read more

I came for trivia night, which was a ton of fun! The cider is good and the place was packed for the event. It was really cool:... they allowed outside food and drinks, and the trivia was engaging and well-run. Highly recommend! Read more

Meghan was awesome! She explained the different flavors and made us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the back patio to sit and... drink our cider. If we lived here I know this would be my favorite hang out place! Read more

Friendly staff and willing to explain all their ciders. Mostly dry which we absolutely love. We did flights of 5 and loved them... all. Cool location and cool vibe. Definitely a must see. Here for a week vacation and we will be back. Read more

Sage Bird Ciderworks is wonderful! There is a wide variety of ciders to choose from, and they are all outstanding. My favorite... so far is the Brandied Cherry. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. With opening up the north side of their building to moreseating, there's rarely a time where I cannot find a place to sit. The live shows they have offer a great chance to hear ourlocal music scene. Thursdays are trivia night, which I haven't been able to get to yet, but my friends say it is a great time. The staff is very friendly. They offer Route 11 potato chips for snacking, as well as a cooler of charcutier-type sausages andcheeses in their front cooler. If you want to bring food to eat, that is an option too. Sage Bird is one of my first go-to spotsto get a drink with friends. I always look forward to making my way through their door. :) Read more

Today (3-11-21) was my first visit to Sage Bird. They've made the most of the space they had to build, with outdoor seating... behind the building (currently with geodesic tents with tables following Covid-19 protocols) and the main room opens up to theoutside via garage doors, perfect for beautiful days, which today happened to be. Not much parking on the premises, but plentyof adjacent street parking. Really enjoyed the ciders here, and there's a wide range to suit most every palette, includingnon-alcholic ciders. That said, you might find a cidery to be serve a slightly different clientele than some of the localbreweries (with some overlap). I had a flight which included the Sauce's Envy, the Sweet Shenandoah, Brandied Cherry (myfavorite of the four) and the VA Hewes Crab. Tasting notes can be found on Sage Bird's website. I think the place needs to havetime to settle in post-Covid to develop a bit more character, but this is a good beginning. Read more
