Had a family member in town and we ate here. They were busy inside so we sat out on the patio, and it ended up being the... perfect dinner! It was so nice to enjoy the fall weather and it was nice and quiet outside so we could catch up. The cocktailspecial was great and dinner & dessert were absolutely devine! Rocktown Kitchen in Downtown Harrisonburg is located with great atmosphere and environment. The chicken was packed with great... seasoning and flavor along with the risotto. The sauce on the NY Strip was a great addition to the plate. Asparagus was nicelycooked. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium well, but I received something cooked less than expected. Mashed potatoes wasdelightful! Our waitress was friendly and pleasant. I am not sure how I feel about the pricing on the Chicken & Risotto for asmall portion. Read more

Really great atmosphere, seems.to be a nice selection of wine with a bar. Was not too impressed with my lunch order. It seemed a... little dry, and did not really taste like BBQ. I ordered the Pulled Pork BBQ with Onion Rings on the side. The staff was veryfriendly and courteous. First time here and we came based on the reviews. We do not regret coming here but there was a little bit of a letdown. First... off. Our server was friendly and efficient. Restaurant seemed clean. We got two appetizers, Buffalo Wings and the FriedTomatoes, and my wife liked the Tomatoes while I did not care for the taste of the wings. They were cooked well and with theincrease prices for Chicken we paid I believe $14 for 6 pretty small wings. The taste was off but to be clear I had Covid 6months ago and ever since my sense of smell and taste seems to have been affected and still seem to be. My sister thought herBBQ sandwiches were just okay and kind of boring and my wife wasn't a fan of the Chicken Gyro. Chicken was dry and she justfelt there was no genuine Gyro taste she's had over the years with the Lamb Gyro's. Her Sweet Potato fries were good, MyFried Chicken sandwich was okay but a little on the dry side as well. None of us ate all of our meals. Would we go back? Maybe but we're not sure. Read more

This place was fantastic! They have a cute outdoor area with fires, and the inside has a really nice atmosphere as well. ... Pictures don't do this place justice, I just think it looks nicer than pictures make it look. The service was polite and fast!Everything came out fast, but was also cooked perfect. The food was AMAZING. The wings were crispy and the beet salad withgrilled salmon was perfect. The shrimp and grits was also absolutely delicious, they use those good grit grains!!! My husband and I's FAVORITE restaurant, we eat here for every special occasion or celebration we have. It's a somewhat expensive... restaurant, but 100% worth it for the food, drinks and service. We've never had a bad experience in the slightest. Read more
