Amazing food! I see why they made a whole restaurant after having a food truck. And for reasonable prices as well. We tried the... squash special, steam buns, and fried dumplings. Only complaint is that we wish the servings were bigger so we could eat more!The carrot sake cocktail was delicious as well! Sweetened soy sauce paired excellent with the dumplings. Had a wonderful lunch. 2 of us are vegans, 1 vegetarian & 1 meat eater. We all found ourselves with great menu options, & the... food was delicious. The service was excellent. I can't believe how amazing the Korean Fried Chicken wings were... Impossibly crisp crunchy skin, tender juicy meat, and a... sticky sweet spicy gochuchang sauce unlike anything I've had before. Best wings ever! Read more

Mashita was absolutely amazing! We got the following in the pictures to share and were full after finishing it. The buns were so... soft, and everything was a total flavor explosion! The sweet and spicy sauce is that good. A total hack is buying takeout andwalking down to Sage Bird for a drink. We?ll be back soon! I didn't know pork could taste so good... Amazing food here! Pork belly and brisket are to die for! Good atmosphere and clean... surroundings. Staff were very nice and helpful as well. Please don't pass up an opportunity to eat here. We got the kimchifries, beef kimbap, and buns sampler- braised pork, brisket, and pork belly. 10/10 wish I lived closer so I could eat here moreoften. Heard about Mashita from the JMU newsletter as they were recognizing the alum owner. So, yesterday we went there as a group for... our friends birthday. And it was amazing. The Bibimbap was very aesthetically pleasing, delicious, fresh and so filling and ladded a chicken protein. The Katsu was another favorite and so delicious and fresh. The chicken was crispy on the outside and sotender and well spiced on the inside, it just melted on your mouth. What a great place!! We found them online when we're planning a visit to VA. Food was so amazing, service was great, fantastic... vegan choices. We met the chef/ owner too, super cool guy with a passion for what he does! Started as a food truck, grew into arestaurant and is now expanding. Best of luck to the Mashita and staff. Visited several times and has been delicious every time. Great place for a date night, has indoor and outdoor dining as well as... take out. Steamed buns are yummy, basically fluffy tacos, and the fried bao rounds for dessert were amazing! 5 stars and we'llbe back again soon. Read more
