We are from out of town and celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Lovely historic house with beautiful charm and spectacular... service. Small dinner menu but quality is top notch! We each had an alcoholic beverage, entree and dessert. The filet mignon andscallops were perfectly cooked and flavored. Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee was superb and a perfect way to end our diningexperience! Wouldn?t change a single thing about any part of our dining experience! Read more
We had our anniversary dinner here. The food was very good. The wait staff was awesome and the drink special was a really good... mixed drink made up by the bartender. My husband found this restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Reservation were easy and the location is great. Our waiter was... excellent in delivering the daily specials. We opted for the drink of the day and pimms pride which was delightful. We we'rehighly disappointed when we wanted to order our appetizers and was informed by the waiter that the cheese sampler dish was notavailable as they didn't have anymore. For a Saturday evening (holiday weekend) and for having such a limited selection already,to find out that option was not available was highly disappointing. For a vegetarian, that left only salad as an option. Thesalmon special was ok but I loved their mussel appetizer dish. Out of this world! Ambiance was lovely and it was nice to seethe homes unique features. We were celebrating our anniversary and did notate that however, no acknowledgement of that fromstaff yet the other tables were acknowledged for a birthday/anniversary celebration. Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hostess and our server jake/jack, sorry forgot the name, was wonderful. Food was... amazing - have not had food this fresh, well prepared, and creative since my wife and I lived in San Francisco - the quailappetizer was so creative and a blend of southern cuisine that meant Asian and French all in this dish that was delightful.Highly recommend this fine establishment. Really glad we could secure a table during our short visit in Harrisonburg. The mushroom bisque was appetizing, their salad was... fresh and the dressing was delicious.
