We were the only table there until towards the end, it was our first time being here and we really enjoyed it. I wasn't... expecting them to bring out chips and dip with salsa but they did so we ordered a side of queso with it and it was yummy. I gotthe steak & cheese on flat bread & it was delicious, my husband got the jalapeño chicken sandwich & liked it as well. we wantto try it again when it's a little busier as well to see how it is but for right now we will definitely be returning. To celebrate my birthday, hubby brought me to Jalapeno Grill for dinner. We have dined here before and the food is always... fabulous! They also have a full bar and make the absolute BEST margaritas in Harrisonburg! Sharon, the owner always stops by tocheck on us and the wait staff are attentive and take good care of you. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed...perfect for agreat meal after work with friends, evening with family or some time off the road to relax a bit with fine fare. Everyone gets asmile here. The restaurant is easy to get to from I81 and there is a Food Lion in the same shopping complex. I love that I canhave an excellent meal, pick up a few groceries and pop back on the highway. I liked the atmosphere... Avoid the'build your own' bowl. Nearly uncooked peppers and onions w broccoli and carrots (weird) that... were definitely just microwaved and still soggy. Wait staff was very friendly!I wish the food experience was better :/ Read more

We waited over 50 minutes after we placed the order and finally when they weren?t even that busy. The server said it would be a... fast since we only had 2 items. The server was nice. The owner took some off our check but even after that we waited 10 minutesfor our food and then we finally decided we were gonaa leave so we told the owner that and she got mad at us and was like?okay,whatever we will throw it away? when it wasn?t even MADE and she just got mad at us because us waiting over 50 minutes wasn?tenough for her. Really disappointed in the owner. She replied to my original review but denied the fact that she said that?Like come on at least own up to what you said.
