We were in Harrisonburg vising my son at JMU when we found this tiny little restaurant. To be honest, it doesn't look like much... - the strip mall it's located in is pretty old, to say the least. We were hungry and it was cold out and as luck would have it,the inside of the restaurant was closed due to Covid. We looked at the menu and decided to give it a try, waiting approx. 20 minfor our food inside our car. The food smelled so good that we decided to eat right there on the little table in front of therestaurant. To say the food was delicious is an understatement - it was so good we forgot how cold and windy it was! The portionsize was huge and the price point was excellent, and the taste phenomenal - I'm used to home-cooked Puerto Rican food courtesyof my mom and I'm sure she would have approved of this meal! Highly recommend! Read more

Delicious foods. Great service. Lovely waitress n cook. Waitress didn’t speak English well so my bf broke out his Spanish.... Gave me a free extra papaya shake. Guanabana shake was great. The guisava chivo (goat) was so soft n tender. Bf’s fried porkdish was amazing too. Seasoning was on point n not too salty. Food was big portioned. Family oriented place Read more

My wife is Dominican and I am Puerto Rican and we've been in VA four years now and have been missing our cultural food. We've... had to wait until we go back to NY to enjoy a Latin restaurant. We need to look no more! This place rocks. The service wasamazing, very personable. I felt like I was back in PR at a local restaurant and my wife says she feels like when she's back inher native DR. The food was amazing and fresh. We'll be back and often!!! Read more

When you step into this Dominican restaurant you get immediately transported to the island of DR. We arrived a minute after they... opened. The paintings on the walls and music chiming through the speakers put a smile on my face. My smile grew larger when theserver greeted us and proceeded to give us recommendations and mention that his mom was the cook. The food was tasty and wellprepared. The friendliness and family feel we received were stellar. I asked of the server if he danced bachata and hedid.....soooo when the salsa music changed to bachata we danced a bit! It was my birthday and the small staff sung Felizcumpleaños to me. Everyone was warm and fun to talk with, I would recommend eating at this gem of a restaurant. Read more
