Great food and service! I think our server?s name was Julia and she was absolutely wonderful. We got the three course meal... included with the Getaway Package. Great dining experience and live band! Did you know this band is the last live band in Canada to play 5 days a week? If you are... looking to dress up and have a good time come by and dine at Copper room. My wife and I come and stay at the hotel every yearfor our wedding anniversary. Not bad. Prime Rib lacking flavour Service was good. The chek waiter was polite and informative, but should learn boundaries.... He also asked me to write a review, so I hope he pays attention. The waiter would often rest his hand and arm on the back of mychair (never my Husbands) while talking with us, making me feel uncomfortable. The chair is the patrons personal space, and theyshould respect this. The buns and soft butter where nice. We both had Prime Rib which was tough and lacking flavour. They doput their special sauce under the whole meal-which was ALOT! The sauce soaked up alot of the yummy mashed potatoes,which I couldthen eat. It was nice and cool in the room,which I LOVED. Very good food. Expensive but expected. We had the ahi tuna appetizer which had three large portions of raw tuna on a bed of... watermelon radish. I had the prime rib and my husband had the chef's menu with the beef as well. Both plates were identical whenbrought out except my prime rib was larger. They were served with two piles of mashed potatoes, a single carrot, some sauteedspinach, and a small tomato. In all honesty getting the chef's menu would be better bang for your buck if you were going to getbeef anyway. The long island iced tea was delicious. I ordered the creme brulee for dessert and it was good. My husband had adessert included in his chef's menu but I didn't care for it (was a raspberry mousse). The band started at 7 pm, the Jones'band, and they were wonderful. We wanted to stay longer but it was as cold as ice inside and we were already wearing longsleeves! The only downside was the waiter was a tad too friendly, cracking jokes every time he came by the table and had to makea "funny" comment about our food each time he removed a plate or checked on us. It got old. We paid $150 for our food and had alive band... I wasn't at a comedy club. I can appreciate a joke to two at the beginning but then tone it down after. However, Iwould come back here. A wonderful place for a great evening. Decent quality food with a variety of options and even the ability to make a 3 course... meal. The baked brie is small if you are getting it. Thrnlivr music was great and played a variety of songs which were great fordancing! Highly recommend it! Read more
Proposed to my wife in The Copper Room during one of our many visits. We were regulars each year prior to the - you know what.... Special place for sure! So much history. So many memorable meals and evenings spent there. Was always impressed with the mealsand service. The Lobster Mac & Cheese will go down in history as one of the best meals I've ever had ?? We just want it back theway it always was. No changes. White cloth tables, the dancing. Everyone lookin' good. Classy. Open the doors and bring back theband !!! Miss you COPPER ROOM !! We ALL DO.
