Best Pho I?ve had since moving to South Central PA from New England 15 years ago. Tried maybe 6-10 other places and am glad I... gave Pho 99 a try. They should not be faulted for the run down strip mall that they are housed in and I?m sure that makes it achallenge for them. So easy on and off from 83. Read more

Tonight was my first experience with this restaurant. Also, my last. Long review ahead, with details. Quick version: Ordered... carryout for 2. Shrimp fried rice and seafood fried rice. Plus 2 apps, spring rolls and crispy spring rolls. And it ALL ENDED UPTHROW IN THE TRASH. There was no flavor!!! Like eating soggy rice cakes!! The only thing that had ANY flavor was the 2 saucesthat came with the apps. I have never been so disappointed with a meal. If you have read this far, you are likely looking for adecent spot for some Vietnamese food- do yourself a favor, try a different spot. Allow my wasted $48.29 be the price paid tosave your money. More detailed version: The fried rice was so bland that even adding soy sauce and trying to spice it up athome we were still looking at each other asking, "do we have C19?!?" (We don't!) I tried the crispy spring rolls and said theywere decent... then was advised to try it without the dipping sauce... no flavor. It was all the sauce. Same thing with thespring rolls. Mostly bland filler and a THINLY sliced shrimp in a 2" thick spring roll. The peanut sauce that accompanied therolls was actually pretty good. I had the seafood fried rice - after realizing how bland the fried rice was, I tried to eat justthe seafood. Shrimp and Fish ball, no flavor. Imitation crab was as expected, but the squid... wow. It was like chewing onrubber. I had to spit it out. We were both starving and still couldn't choke it down. Did I call the restaurant? No. Whats thepoint? I'm not going back, and I'm. Just hoping this honest review helps save someone else from wasting money on a flavorlessmeal. Unless thats what you're looking for... but then, why would you want Vietnamese food??? When I think of Vietnamese food Ithink of "aromatic and spicy but subtle, with clean bright flavors." Pho 99 falls well short of these expectations. Sorry, nopics on this review... I was so disappointed, (and still starving), that I forgot to snap a few befor Read more

Everything was absolutely delicious! ???? Got the Trà Thái Xanh (Thai green Tea with jelly) which was very sweet and... refreshing, The Ph? Tái Chín (Eye round steak & brisket) Which was savory, warm, and so cool to watch the meat continue tocooking in the bowl! Served with bean sprouts, cilantro, and limes on the side. I also got the Bánh Mì Th?t Ngu?i (Hoagiewith sliced pork, pâté, butter, vegetables, pepper salt and soy sauce) Which was a bit spicy, but a good kinda spicy. ???? Read more

Had to wait a while before they served us and handed the menus, to think the place wasn't packed. Food was ok, big servings. The... place though isnt the cleanest. Tables and floor were sticky. Their restrooms also need some deep cleaning and maintenance butat least there was still tissue, soap, and running water Read more

Today my husband was out shopping and saw that this restaurant had newly opened. I am always happy to try new food. My usual... method is to order a few appetizers first before investing on a meal. I want to mention what I enjoyed the most first. A7 TomCuon-fried shrimp rolls. Upon opening the container I was worried at first. I had never seen a roll wrapped in this fashionbefore. But I had bravery on my side. The crisp of the wrapper was lovely, the texture of the shrimp ???? was perfect. The sweetand sour chili sauce elevated the little bites of comfort to the next level.???? I only wished that I had ordered more. Afterfalling in love, I moved on to the A3 Goi Cuon- shrimp spring roll. This was my first time trying rice paper. The see throughwrapper was very pretty. Upon first glance I wasn?t sure about the peanut sauce. The sauce was very sweet and good, but mypersonal taste didn?t like it with the roll. All in all I will be back with my family to try more.????
