Reviews for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Harpersville, AL
The food was pretty good and the employees were competent but not friendly and the dining area was clean.
I was ordering a 3 pc all white. I was informed they had no wings but I could do 3 breast. So I said great.they are out of red... beans so I settled for mash pots. I got home and had 1 breast and 2 drums which I don?t eat. Mash pots were freezing cold. Theonly thing out of that 3 pc I could eat was the breast. I tried calling. No answer. Ridiculous. Read more
Pulled up to drive thru. 2 cars in front of me. We wait 5 minutes before they even take the first car's order. Second car gets... to the microphone and we wait another 5 minutes before they start taking his order. We endure 10 minutes of negotiating becausethey don't have enough mild chicken to fill their order. I get to the window and ask for a 12 piece box. I'll take any chickenthey have.... Uhh sir, that will be a 15 minute wait. I lost it. They KNOW they are out of chicken. What were they doing forthe 15 minutes I was waiting in line? Read more

This was my first visit to a Popeye's in some time. It was also my first time in Harpersville, Alabama and an unexpected visit.... A big traffic jam on the Interstate ended up being a trip through the countryside and led to this Popeye's. The staff wasfriendly. I walked up to the entrance and walked in. As it turned out, the dining room was actually closed but someone forgot tolock the door. We did not know that for a few minutes until someone apologized, explained the situation, and let us order andstill eat inside. The problem, as is often the case now, was a lack of a complete staff. As a result, we had a quiet diningexperience in a dining room that was very neat, clean and quiet. No doubt, the people who came up and wanted to come inside wereperplexed as we were sitting there eating but the door was locked so no one else could enter. The two-piece combo meal I hadwas excellent. It was cooked perfectly with a little spice. My dining companion had the chicken tenders. They were also verygood. The biscuit was tasty and not overdone, the drink cup was very large and the iced tea was also good. The cajun rice wasvery spicy. I think I would go for the red beans and rice on another visit. I suspect we will try another Popeye's in the nearfuture when we have a craving for fried chicken. Read more
Dining room closed. Drive thru terribly slow and the one taking orders couldn't do that right. When we got to the window to pay... then was asked to pull in a parking place for another extended wait. While waiting looked at the ticket and it was wrong. Notthe place for us anymore. Read more
The food was pretty good and the employees were competent but not friendly and the dining area was clean. To me it just wasn't a... welcoming atmosphere just kind of sterile and quiet lol. Hospitality is second nature to most Southerners and that's where alotof us learn to be charming and flattering to our guests and patrons most don't even remember that the food could have beenwarmer and the tea a little sweeter because good conversation and genuine empathy concerning strangers is old fashioned I knowbut people are unique individuals and you can never tell who you might meet but these small encounters with others is as goodfor us as it is them and they might just might be the next "Mark Twain" or "Elon Musk or even Mother Teresa. We all live heretogether so don't be standoffish and cold be warm and charming and engage people in pleasant conversation and gracious mannersand maybe our everyday routines will gain some of the magic and joy we lost being to busy to even notice because the" love ofmoney" outweighs all things and we are convinced that wealth will make us happy again at last. We all lose or give away ourhappiness because it can't be bought or sold or traded, it comes from within us radiating outward like a refreshing breeze andno amount of money or anything from outside of any of us could hope to fill this void and money is devoid of any power orremedy. Money is just a tool, we might as well expect lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners to give us back our happiness that made usfeel warm and alive lol trading our happiness and joy in this life for the hope and promise of wealth that could never endowwarmth or life because wealth possesses neither one. Life is for the living don't draw away from people and life! Engage lifedon't be passive, experience is our best teacher and we only get one life to live so be a little bolder, a little more outgoingand also a little more kind, a little more patient and polite, understanding that true happiness and peace Read more
