So this place was amazing. There were 5 of us and we had the gizzards, a couple different types of wings, the ribs, and a... burger. Every dish was excellent! And the gizzards come with a secret sauce created by one of the cooks. (which they sell for$5, I bought one) This is not a fancy place. Some folks might say that Smitty?s is out in the middle of nowhere, and in reality, it probably is, but, with very little... traffic once your east of Narcoossee, it?s a short drive from St.Cloud and even shorter from The Manor or Harmony. My familydines here every couple of weeks, we?ve enjoyed each meal, from breakfast to lunch and even dinner. Sometimes it?s a bit of await on your meal but the food is being cooked to order, it?s not coming down an assembly line, wrapped in wax paper and throwninto a bag. It?s really good, Home Cooked Food. This restaurant used to be called the Holopaw Diner (if I remember correctly) but the original owners apparently retired and... shut the place down. I was a bit devastated because it was THE best place to stop on those long trips down 441. Well I'm happyto report that it has re-opened as "Smitty's BBQ" -and it is even more fantastic than it was before. The menu has been greatlyexpanded, for starters. And the food is mouth-watering. Your biggest problem will be deciding what you want. Someone else heresaid the beef brisket is delicious. I'll second that. Have had their steak and eggs, then a hamburger and one pound of their brisket to go. Everything was very good. The staff was... very nice and the place was neat and clean. The bathroom could do with a makeover as well as the table chairs and booths. Wouldhave no problem though stopping there anytime I am in the area. Some good home cooked food. Read more

On a road trip to Florida. Stopped by this gem of a place. Had Corn bread, pancakes, bacon and eggs. Taste the local honey for... sure. The wall displayed awards for their BBQ and mustards. Fresh tasty flavor. Chatted with the owners of the biz, very honestand down to earth. I wish them the very best in these testing Covid times for a new biz. Make it a stop.
