my daughter picked this big fly off her donut this morning. ended up throwing the whole dozen case away.
Stopped by this morning and ordered 2 sausage cheese and jalapeno Kolaches, and a cream cheese doughnut. The server was too busy... talking to her co-workers about if she was needed tomorrow to pay any sort of attention to what I was saying. She gave me twoham and cheese Kolaches, and the doughnut tasted like it was filled with buttercream frosting. I love you, Shipley?s but sometimes the quality just isn?t there. The photo is from an Apple fritter for my mother that barely... had any apple filling. She deconstructed the whole thing to find just a little bit of apple filling. Please don?t make me haveto face my mother and her disappointments! Quality over quantity. I understand having to put out product and having to hustlebut I would rather get a good product and know I was too slow to get it than to take something home that doesn?t live up to itsname. The raised glaze tasted like it was plain flour and water. The glazed was the thinnest I've ever encountered! My 1st husband's... family owed a bakery. I know what good doughnut look and taste like....this was far from it. It also wasn't fresh or even dayold, my best guess is about 2 1/2 days old. This was my 1st time trying this chain...I'll try them again at another location.But honestly, if this is how they want their doughnuts to be I can't believe they made enough money and stayed in business longenough to open more than 1 store. The parking lot is difficult to get in and out of. The side walk has fencing around itputting handicap access to the whole strip mall at 1 location forcing them to go 30 feet the opposite direction to gain access. Yet if you can walk there's cut outs in the fencing every 3 feet or so too narrow for walkers or wheelchairs. Read more
