I honestly can't believe I haven't been here sooner. I used to work up the street at the near by Delta Community Credit Union... located on Virginia Ave a few years back but I never visited this establishment. I'm glad I have finally discovered thisHapeville GEM! #1 if you are near by, you need to do yourself a favor and come inside and sit at the bar. Ask for "Love" thebartender. She has a drink called "Love's Passion" which is her secret recipe (all I know is it was good AF and has Henny in it,my sister subbed the Henny for Tequila which was also amazing). She has an amazing personality and provided top notchhospitality. Sit at the bar and ask for Love! #2 the FOOD is absolutely amazing! (Pics included) I ordered the Buffalo Wingswhich were great! They are NOT SMALL. Them other establishments try to play you on wing size, but not here. I ordered theCatfish and chips which also was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! Me and my sister shared the Jumbo Shrimp and they wereindeed JUMBO! Everything was well executed, fast times, great vibes! My only regret is I didn't discover this place sooner. Ifyou're in the area do yourself a favor and hit up Lickety Split... like ASAP. Read more

This is a very unique establishment in the way they handle payments. You pay before you see or taste your food (leaving no... leverage for incorrect or nonsatisfying food). Everything was fresh I purchased the ribs, fries, and "red kool-aid ". My foodwas edible, nothing to write home about but, I will be willing to return to dine again. Customer service was okay and verydifferent as well. They call your ticket number, you pick up your food, refills or napkins, eating utensils you have to get upto ask for it with a wait time bc they are extremely busy(which didn't make for a relaxing meal). It was as cool as walking inthe desert at noon in the restaurant. The staff was cordial and Uptown Comedy Corner is upstairs. Another plus is ampleparking and operating hours as this was a last-minute decision bc they were open past 3pm. Read more

We were close to the Atlanta airport area and looking for a place to eat. I did a quick search and found Lickety Split.  I was... enticed by the pictures of the Chicken and Waffles (which I found out is not on the lunch menu).  We quickly found the placeand discovered there was plenty of free parking behind the restaurant.  When we entered, we were told to take a menu off thewall, place our order and then our number would be called.  So the place is fast food-ish kind of masquerading as a dine inrestaurant.  We ordered our food at the bar and all I can say about the hostess/bartender was that she was stoic/emotionless,not one smile to make us feel welcome. After we placed our order, we were told it would be ready in about 20 minutes.  At thispoint, we looked around to seat ourselves.  Usually we would sit outside, but there was a homeless man sitting on the outsidebench.  The staff clearly saw him, but was acting like he wasn?t there.  We decided to sit inside at one of the high tablesfor two.   The place was busy and food was consistently being called for pickup.    We waited, while listening to the greatRnB music in the background,  a little longer than 20 minutes, but it was doable.  I ordered the Fried Chicken with yellowrice and cabbage.  Wifey ordered Grilled Shrimp and Potato Salad. The food was excellent!! Grandma is definitely in thekitchen.  Overall the good outweighs the bad in this Black Owned business.  I would recommend you check it out. Read more

This was one of the best experiences I've had since being here in Georgia. From the parking lot which was plenty of spaces... reserved for guest at no charge, to the cleanliness of the business, great atmosphere, music and bar. But most of all thefood... The food, the food was some of the best I've had. Fish was crisp and light and fluffy, yams was full of juice andsweetness. My ribs were the best I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be going back and bringing a friend of two sooner thanlater. Thanks for the great experience and at home feel, wish I can give you more than 5 ????. See you soon Read more
