Best quick inexpensive lunch ever! Nostalgic too!???????????? Old-fashioned Drive In with Curb service. Make sure you check out... the "Twirly-Dog"!! Goes well with tater tots! I hear the fried Chicken ???? is great; coming back to find out! "They" said tocall ahead, takes 20 minutes to cook. Just a minute off Mercury Blvd on N King St. ???????????????????? It was our first time here. Really affordable compared to the quality and other restaurants nearby. Our car server Stephanie was... super nice and really informative. I recently went to Smitty?s for my dinner and I really had a taste for some fried chicken and not kfc or Popeyes. So I decided... to drive to Smittys. I waited 30 mins for my food, which wasn?t a big deal because I just knew it was going to be so good. Boywas I disappointed when I opened my box. First, they didn?t have any hot sauce. That wasn?t a big deal because I actuallythought the taste was going to be so good, I wouldn?t need any sauce. Second, the chicken looked like it was dipped 3 or 4 timesin a batter that I would use to fry a soft shell crab. I overlooked that because I hoped that didn?t mean it wasn?t going to bedelicious. The chicken was terrible. It taste like it was cooked 2 days ago and then refried in the same grease from lastweekend. The fries were just as nasty. I didn?t even finish my food. The best thing about my entire meal, was the sprite and theketchup. I thought about ordering a burger instead because those are usually on point but at that point, I had a nasty taste inmy mouth, literally. I ended up going to Wendy?s. Smittys please do better. Love Smitty's burgers. Battered onion rings are a favorite. Flounder dinner. Quality food for a low price. The best burger place... in Hampton, VA. My hushpuppy was burnt but still flavorful. Sad that they were burnt and dry. Read more

Been here a few times.....today the food wasn't the same. Not sure if someone sees is cooking but the 1/2 chicken dinner the... chicken was very very dry. Definitely was overcooked and the fries were fried extra hard. BBQ sandwich was good. The slaw wasgood. The food is normally good so I'll be back again. Read more
Depending on what you get the food is pretty good. Place my parents use to eat at back in the day when the owner was there.... Thier prices are great, the chicken sandwich needs a lot of improvement but the burgers and fries are the best. And the chickenwings are a bit large but tasty. The lady's are always very nice when they take your order and you don't have to wait long. Read more
