Reviews for The Sandwich King in Hampton, ON
This is the first review I have ever done. I was excited to eat here because sandwiches are my favourite thing to eat. Kinda... hard to make a bad sandwich, until we went to the “Sandwich King” it is about as bad as you could get beside grabbing it outof a dumpster. No meat or Dijon on the Montreal smoked meat sandwich, see photo. Then my wife ordered the chicken sandwich andagain see photo below no chicken just batter. They ask for a tip prior to receiving your food which I tipped and now wish I gotmy money back. Food was expensive which I don’t mind paying if it is worth it. No drink, no fries just the sandwiches and tipwas over 30 dollars. I would not recommend this place to my enemy. Read more
TRY “THE VEGAN”\nYou will not regret it! The flavours were amazing and all worked together so well. I rarely write reviews... but I was so impressed. It’s hard to make a sandwich with no meat taste good and this is by far the best sandwich I’ve everhad vegan and not. Vegans and non vegans try this if you’re craving a fresh sandwich! I know I’ll be back. Read more
I tried The Fried Chicken. It was a huge piece of chicken. The sweet chilli sauce was good. There should be a spicier version... available. Read more
I highly recommend trying anything on the menu at the Sandwich King food truck at food truck ally! The combinations of flavors... makes the pallet happy and wanting more.\nHot and fresh, the staff are friendly and hard working. There\'s generally a 10 to 15minute wait, but it\'s worth it.\nI\'m a satisfied customer, thank you!! Read more
The King is my go-to place for a fried chicken sandwich. They are made to order so they\'re good a fresh and unlike certain... chick chains, there is a generous amount of juicy flavorful chicken per sandwich. It\'s tucked into a \"pillowy\" brioche roll.It\'s topped with fresh crunchy slaw and a good amount of the lively house-made sauce just enough to give the sandwich the zingto set the flavor off, but not so much that the bun turns into a mushy paste. Stop debating and just go, already! Read more
I pass by this food truck Alley daily on my way to work and back, I had some personal things to do and we didn’t have power so... I had no more food to make lunch so I finally gave in and stopped at food truck alley.\n\nIt was a large debate in my head ofwhere to go because everything really looks so delicious and usually I would go for the burger joint because it’s easy. Butsomething in my head kept telling me to go and check out the sandwich king trailer\n\nSo I went over and started checking outthe menu and decided on The fried chicken sandwich and a side of taters\n\nThe guy greeting customers was extremely friendly andwas fine with my substitution of no coleslaw (Sorry buddy no offence to your coleslaw I just didn’t want vegetables that day!)I’m sure his coleslaw is delicious Because everything else was!\n\nOriginally I wasn’t going to get a drink but he insistedI take one because it was included he could’ve just saved the cost that was really nice of him\n\nThe sandwich only took about10 minutes to make and I was eating very quickly\n\nI have to start with the taters because I liked them so much I could justhave those for lunch. They were not greasy at all but were absolutely delicious and very hot temperature wise. I think he usesgolden potatoes and butters them after cooking them because they were so buttery delicious. He will have to confirm or denythis. Either way the guy next in line when I was throwing out my garbage asked me how my meal was and I explained how good theywere and I told him he has to get them.\n\nOnto the Chicken sandwich! And it was absolutely delicious, the bun is nice and tastyand soft, the chicken is huge and hot temperature wise and seasoned well but still moist on the inside, the sweet chilli taisauce is delicious (I’m assuming it’s homemade) And it is very nice and crispy the pickles are so good.\n\nAnd I wasstuffed! The portion is great for the cost\n\nOverall I was very satisfied with my meal And the customer service o Read more
The fried chicken sandwich was pretty good but very small about half the size of the bun. It\'s more of a slider then a... sandwich. My friend got the schnitzel and he said it tasted good but small as well (a touch smaller then the size of the bun). If your hungry you need two sandwich at $13 or $12 each. Read more
