We drove 45 minutes to experience first hand what everyone talks about G&C. And we were not disappointed. There was a little bit... of a wait, but once we were seated, our server Cassy, was prompt with our coffee and our order. Great selection of breakfast andlunch items. Went to Ginger and Clove Cafe for Sunday breakfast. Got in and seated within 10 minutes. Wife and I ordered Popeye omelette with... English muffin and potatoes. I got coffee , Wife had iced tea. Plates came out surprisingly fast. This should be a good thingbut immediately realized it was due to cutting corners. English was soggy . Omelette was supposed to have spinach, mushroomsonion mozzarella and bacon. Egg was either premade or something else? Opened to find bacon BITS. COUPLE LEAVES OF SPINACH. Itwas placed on an egg disk and folded. 2 stars are for friendly waitstaff and coziness. Won't be back! Too bad!???? Read more
My friend is here visiting from Maryland, and we were out riding around and stopped in the Ginger and Clove for a bite to eat,... all I can say is it was delicious!! Breakfast and Lunch is served all day!! My friend had the French Toast which I sampled, wascooked to perfection and delicious!! I had a ham and cheese grinder with french fries and also delicious. So many choices ontheir menu will definitely be going back many times!! Reasonably priced!! Great service by our waitress who is the mother to hertwo daughters that own it!! Exceptionally clean dining room,love the lighting it's a bright but not harsh. The 2 servers(older&younger) on Monday morning... were inviting and happy. Sitting at breakfast bar I believe is the owner(wife) and the cook I believe is the owner(husband)checked on us, they're approachable people with good attitudes. *THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS* (except for the Grits????,soupy,gummy,plain. First time visit and we will certainly be back. Arrived around 11am on a holiday Monday. Waited only 15 minutes for a table.... Decor was tranquil and pleasant. We had the bananas foster pancakes, praline French toast and chocolate chip pancakes. They wereall fantastic- definitely bring your appetite! Fellow customers were also very pleasant and chatty. Ginger & Clover is a must stop for anyone in the area. The food tasted as good as it sounded on the menu. Sunny was fantastic!... He was fun and energetic.
