I was Door Dashing this morning and I experienced the MOST AWESOME DISPLAY OF REAL LOVE in this place this morning. A gentleman... came into the establishment, I don't know who he was, but by his red IHOP shirt and that heavy binder he was carrying, he musthave been a V.I.P. ???? AS SOON AS HE CAME THROUGH THE DOOR! The staff there this morning greeted him with someone much love andhugs......telling him how they'd missed him. This just changed the whole perspective as to why I was there!???? This experiencewas so warm and affectionate, and hey! As a Loving Christian that was just "HEAVENLY"TO ME???? Made me wanna just staythere! And the funny thing about this For Dash, though my wait was long, and the ride to deliver was a little distant, it wasthe only Dash I got this morning. So worth it! Hey! IHOP is one of my favorite restaurants, so I went to the location in Lovejoy, GA. When you walk in, the restaurant it is... spotless, and the restroom was clean, but THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. The pancakes were dry and the fajita omelette did not haveany peppers or onions, and it was covered with a small pack of shredded cheese (too much cheese) I ordered a side of avocados,they looked like brownish green mashed potatoes, not slices. My husband?s steak was tough as leather. They offered to remakeeverything but if you couldn?t get it right the first time you wouldn?t get it right period. I placed an order online for curbside pickup and was notified that my order would be ready at 8:13am. I called the phone number... provided at 8:15am for curbside pickup to let the staff know that I had arrived and was outside waiting on my order. I didn'tget an answer until I called back and selected to speak with the manager. I spoke with Joanna who advised me that "she will tryto bring my order out when or if she gets a chance, because they are short staffed." Which is very unacceptable. Got seated and waited over an hour to be told our food was coming. Saw three tables seated after we ordered and served before we... even got our food. After finally telling them we had to go, due to me going to work, we were told it was ready and comingout. Asked for it to go since it was "ready" and it took 30 more minutes for it to be brought in the bag. After stressing againthat we had to go we asked where we can pay and she told us only with her.( As we saw multiple people paying upfront)we askedfor the ticket and gave the waitress our card and she continued to make drinks and take other people's orders instead of ringingus out and laughed when we told her that we need to go. It's ridiculous that in 2hrs of being there I didn't get to eat andliterally could only get one cup of water the entire time. Don't go here, it's not worth it. Read more
Had several food pickups from this restaurant on Father's Day. They get a five-star rating because although swamped with... customers, being short staffed and getting fussed at by frustrated customers about the wait time, not one time did the staff getflustered or show bad attitudes. EVERY staff member maintained professionalism and politeness. I understand people getting upsetabout the wait time, but folks have to remember a lot of restaurants are still understaffed from the pandemic. Kudos to theentire crew - from the manager, to the hostesses, to the servers, cooks and cleaners! ???? Keep up the good work! Read more
I was with a party of 4 and we waited 90 plus minutes for our food after ordering. When we finally received our food 1 order was... wrong and we had to wait another 30 minutes for the correct order and the other 3 orders were cold. Then we had to wait another10 minutes for silverware. The brisket in the Colorado omelet was so old and dry it was like jerky. The onion rings were hard asrocks the cheese on the eggs was old and hard the pancakes were under cooked and the grits had no flavor. Read more
I called in order 30 minutes ahead of time to pickup. Only when I got to restaurant I had to wait an additional 25 minutes even... though the restaurant wasn't busy. I ordered 2x2x2. 2 pancakes, 2 sausages and a bowl of grits since I don't eat eggs. I askedfor strawberry syrup. Which I never received ????. I got to work and I was steamed like a vegetable. ???????? Now my question iswhy would you give anyone a pancake that looks like that. Whoever fixed my order knew exactly what they did was wrong becausethey placed a good pancake on top of bad one. I always observe my food before eating. That cook need to be CHECKED!!!! It took a very long time to get our food. Other customers who arrived after we did received their food before we did. Only 2 in... my party other groups of 3 to 5 people received their food while we waited. When our food arrived it was cold or roomtemperature at best. Maybe left on the kitchen counter too long? Our waitress never brought our check long after we finishedeating so we went up to the register to pay. While several employees were sitting in the back, no one was attending the front.We waited 7-10 minutes until someone finally came to the register and asked for our meal tab to pay, we informed him ourwaitress never brought us one, nor did she or any other employee come to check us out or get someone to check us out.
