Honestly the nicest wait staff I have ever experienced. Also, this is a great value at an incredible price! Tons of flavor and... tons of meat on the quesadilla! Definitely a great experience! Family and I was on our way to MS on Interstate 55 and decided to stop at El Jimador for lunch. Never been to the place just... seen it on our Google search for Mexican Cuisine. Our waiter was the nicest guy and super friendly. I had the fajitas and theywere seasoned perfectly and the best I ever had at a restaurant. The rest of the family said there food was great as well.Before leaving the waiter asked if we wanted to go drinks. That attention to detail with customers goes a long way. 6/7/2022 Back again and had two fajita plates which were spot on as usual. The salsa was not quite as good as it usually is...... so if you guys are reading this... let's return to the original recipe! Service was great as usual. 3-1-2022 Stopped in forTaco Tuesday but no luck since it was Mardi Gras, but the fajitas were spot on as usual. Previously... just have to say thelast several visits have once again been fantastic. In fact I'm on here updating the review, because the whole family is askingto pick up food tonight for dinner!!! Back to full stars. Previously... first less than stellar experience. Came in for lunchand the food was great... the guacamole on the other hand was old... and obviously so. We sent back our order of extra guacamolehoping for a remake, but none was offered. He even brought more of the old stuff on my fajitas plate, also sent back. The pinacoladas were out and the strawberry margaritas ran out after the first one... hope this place isn't going down already! Loweredtwo stars. Previously... Just visited again and everything was great, upped my rating! Previously...We heard that this wasopened by the same people that previously owned El Tapatio... which was one of our favorite tex-mex spots for years. Our partyof 5 was seated immediately and the service was great and friendly. They brought plenty of salsa, but it just didn't have thezing it used to have... a little too much on the tomatoes. The fajitas were great portions as usual for a great price. Thechicken, steak and shrimp were all top quality meats. The kids had quesadillas, both shrimp and chicken... and seemed satisfied.The youngest had a kid's nacho plate with added jalapeños. Our adult drinks were great too. So... definitely worth a visit...the salsa is not as it was before... but that's just my opinion. We'll be back soon. Read more
Excellent lunch specials even on weekends. Excellent service. Chatted a little in Spanish but they spoke English perfectly. Free... chips and salsa. If your significant other is in a bad mood from hunger, bring them here. Read more
Really pleased with our experience. Food was average Mexican restaurant quality/taste. Had the cheese dip, guac, and carnitas.... Husband said the ground beef on his taco was some of the most tender and flavorful. Never thought he'd be describing ground beefas tender but it was great. Servers were prompt and nice. Read more
