The owner of this Bens Soft Pretzels was very nice!! I really appreciate her, Visited on 3/2/2021 around 2:30!
Updated review 10/16/2020: this location has really gone downhill in the customer service department. Went there recently, and... according to their hours they were supposed to close at 9 (we were there around 645). We stepped up and asked the employee if wecould get some pretzel sticks made fresh. His response: "No you may not!! I'm about to close in 10 minutes." My Fiancé and Iwere so taken aback by this guy's very rude response! I've worked in customer service for over 10 years, and I never would haveresponded so rudely to a customer! Also, they rarely seem to actually stay open until their posted business hours, so keep thatin mind if you choose to give them your business. Love Ben's pretzels! Best soft pretzel chain. Edit/Update: All New staff, definitely NOT as friendly or helpful as before. I used to frequent them at least once a week... (sometimes more) haven't been there in a while. Today (10/10/2020) decided to give them another shot. Big mistake, the"gentleman" who was working there that night was quite rude and nasty attitude as if he didn't even want to be there. Sue wasthe Heart of that place and is now gone. I'm sure the Pretzels are still good but the friendly faces are gone. FormerReview Pretzels are much bigger than Auntie Ann's and Wetzels. Much more tasty too. Only thing better than the pretzels is thestaff, I've been here many times and will continue to do so. Everyone is so sweet and nice. They treat you like family. Read more
Ben's Pretzel located at 1100 5th, Hammond, was amazing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had there pepperoni... pretzel for lunch and I took home a meatball pocket with me for dinner. Make sure to go try them. They have a verity of itemsto choose from. I liked their catchy saying. Have a pretzel day!! Read more
Worse experience ever !!!! First the cheese pizza looked so old and cold. Not what I thought I was getting. The employee was... talking to me from far doing other things. And to top it off her child was ringing me out. Totally unprofessional I willdefinitely not buy anything from here EVER AGAIN. Your other locations in Valparaiso and Laporte are AWESOME. Read more

I LOVE this place!!! Love stopping in when I want something quick and not fried, their pretzels are ALWAYS fresh and hot, and... they make them there on the spot, NO microwave junk! The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the store is always veryclean!! It's located in the Walmart, so when you done shopping and need a boost, GO TO BEN'S!!! Read more
The time for opening said 10:00 am it was 12:30pm and wasn't open i asked the man what time does it open and he just turn and... said we are not open and proceeded with what he was doing even a walmart employee ask and he ignored her so rude . Read more
