Run, do not walk here. This place is unbelievably good. I had the vegetarian combo, which is a heaping serving of various lentil... dishes, vegetables, salad and injera. It’s a feast for the eyes as much as it is for the stomach. All vegetarian dishes arevegan, and while the injera is not gluten free, everything else is (and rice can be ordered instead). Served on a large platteron an injera, this meal is eaten with the hands. It’s a real experience to eat here, and one that should not bemissed. Tasteful decor, you can smell the spices as soon as you walk in the door. The service is excellent, friendly andknowledgeable. This is a real not-so-hidden gem. Read more
If you like ????????Eritrean/Ethiopian???????? food, you will love this spot! I can't emphasize enough how FRESH the ingredients... are. The flavors are well balanced and not too spicy. This one dish (Tibbs + Veggie Combo) was enough for 2 ppl. Service wasgreat and am happy to have stumbled across this restaurant. Read more

I’ve been craving Ethiopian food for a while, and since I am visiting Hamilton for Canada day I had to find the best spot in... town! Luckily I looked up google, and found this gem of a place. The food is exceptional!!! I was craving Doro wat for a while,and the one I had here is beyond words. The food is flavorsome, and reminded me of my childhood. The service is great, and thestaff is super friendly. I'd definitely recommend it to those who are looking for new delicious experiences. Read more
I’ve been to Wass several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always incredible and the gentleman that serves... us is always so grateful and wonderful too. I was introduced to this restaurant years ago and have continued to bring new peoplewith me who also love it too! Thanks for existing and being great. Their vegan options are unreal! TIBS! Ethiopian food was something my friends and I bonded over but we haven't been in years. Discovering Wass was great, and it... did not disappoint. The food was incredible and the service was friendly. For seven people we ordered three combination plates(Tibs, Dora Wat, and the Wass Special) and it was more than enough. 11/10 would recommend! Great experience. It was our first time in an Ethiopian restaurant and we found a very welcoming environment. They were kind and... provided great service with suggestions of what to order. For a family of 4, we ordered the Meat combo with vegetarian plus anextra veggie dish (Yemiser Wat). Amazing taste and good portions. We could sample pretty much everything in the menu. Thecottage cheese was a great surprise too! I am curious about the coffee ceremony. That's for next time! I highly recommend! Read more
Got vegetable and chicken stew combo today for lunch. The food is very tasty and the portion is really big ( I was... overconfident, thinking I can finish these myself lol), so I would say the price is rather fair. Later I boiled some chickenbreasts and mixed them with the left over, and they made a fantastic dinner ! The stew sauce is just soooo good ! Read more
