Best breakfast I?ve had in a very long time. I ordered the eggs Benedict with spinach. It was honestly to die for! The sauce was... the perfect creamy consistency and the capers on top were a very nice touch. $20 for breakfast and a coffee. Will be back. Read more

I have walked by this diner many times and decided to give it a try. The Halibut fish and chips were awesome. Nice light batter... not dripping in grease. Fresh cut fries, coleslaw and tartare sauce. I will be returning for sure! As I stated I would returnand I did a week later. I asked for the Halibut and chips. The server snapped at me that the Halibut was just a trail and loudlyand offensly told me To go to 3 or 4 different places he named off if I wanted Halibut. With other customers watching Ireluntant took cod fish and chips home. Felt very offended. Read more
After hospital visit to see my mom my wife and daughter and I decided to try Stage Diner due to good reviews. There were 4... people in the restaurant. There was no staff at the front or a bell so we just seated ourselves for 10- 15 min. My wifedecided to just pop her head around the corner to the kitchen area and said hello politely to notify the staff we were there,then we sat for another 5 min. A man came out and said...."I am the only one here and if you make me make a mistake on theother people's food I will charge you for there food, he was abrupt and obviously angry. We just said fine and walked out. Heobviously heard my wife and could have just called out and said he would be with us shortly. We went down the street to anotherrestaurant and were treated very politely and the food was great. Guess this owner didn't need our $75 purchase and tip! Neverwould I even attempt to go to Stage Diner again, this is the worst we have ever been treated in a restaurant ever! Would give anegative 3 star if I could! Read more
Cozy atmosphere, extremely friendly staff and great food!
Amazing little place with a personable owner ???? just had the chicken burger, it was amazing. Not salty, not drenched in... grease, bun is light and not soggy... After today?s Spec article, my buddy and I decided to give Stage Diner a try. We were immediately greeted with Daryl?s... infectious, outgoing personality, engaging the entire restaurant of customers with his charm. We were entertained and enjoyedour entire time in the diner from entry to exit. Whilst there, we both had their signature Tou Ton burger: this was a delight.Nestled between fried dough was beautiful red onions, lettuce, tomato, and a very generous patty, that actually doesn?t containfillers. We were treated to a slice of Daryl?s lemon cheesecake made in-house: it was so good that I ate it too quickly to takea photo of. Great experience, the owner is a treat! Funny, easy going. Lots of laughs. The food was fantastic. We had the wings, clubhouse... and a specialty item. The wings were huge and flavourful. The clubhouse was a traditional three layer clubhouse, which you don?tsee very often anymore and my specialty item was on point. Very nostalgic as my papa is from Newfoundland.
