Very disappointed. Long time customer of this takeout chinese and last couple experiences have been very Poor. Placed order at... 3pm for a large group with delivery for 6:15pm. As I write this review it is 6:47pm and manager has done nothing. Blames thedriver. Never again. Read more
First, and last time ordering from this place, unfortunately. Very disappointed with the food. The chicken curry had an... oobleck (corn starch and water experiment for kids) consistency to it, and we didn't eat it. The fried rice was completelyflavourless. It tasted just like plain steamed rice that happened to be darker in colour. The vegetable noodles were the same,not much flavour at all. The General Tso chicken was just ok - certainly better than the other 3 dishes we ordered, but wasmediocre at best. Read more
EDIT: THEIR CHOW MEIN IS NOT NOODLES their version is chop suey and they give you dry noodles on the side despite every... definition of it. Very cheap and disappointing/annoying move in my opinion. The mixed vegetables are mostly onion, notenjoyable. The tso chicken is ok but barely any flavour. I'm going elsewhere from now on. This place is basic and solid, weorder from them and Hong Kong all the time! We usually pick up, but today we needed delivery, it was very fast! My onlycomplaint is this is the second time that we order chow mein but received chop suey!! Very frustrating, I really wanted noodles.Huge disappointment there. Ugh. Next time I'll just have to order "noodles" and not say "chow mein" I guess?? Read more
The food was decent but im bummed with the lack of veggies in my chicken lo mein. Was not impressed that they charged us extra... in delivery because we live in Mount hope. Our house is litterly 9 km from the store. So that's definitely a let down. After mybf didn't tip them cause the delivery fee was just way too much. The guy looked super angry and my bf had to litterly grab thefood from the guys hands cause he was just standing there. Read more
I'm in my 30s now and my family has been ordering from South Garden since I was a child. The good is always tasty and the... workers are always very kind. I appreciate that they still perform their own deliveries instead of using app services that jackup the price. Read more
Ordered chicken chow mein. That usually means fried egg noodles in my experience (and a quick google search agrees). What... arrived was a container of soggy bean sprouts. I called to tell them it wasn?t what I ordered and they weren?t understanding atall. Just said there was nothing they could do for me. Waste of time and money. Just a tired mama trying to eat dinner at9:30pm. They need to make their menu more specific like the Mandarin. Read more
The food is amazing. They are quick on preparing it too. One of my favourite dishes is the Cantonese style chow mein. They are... friendly and their prices are reasonable. Read more
