Absolutely NOT impressed. Portion sizes are a complete rip off, THIS (picture) is considered a large Suya priced at $25,... unseasoned and dry. All the prices overall, even drinks is outrageous. The website presentation is nothing at all like what isserved, false advertisement. I'm just all around disappointed and I will NOT return. My people NEED to do better. Read more
Had an absolutely lovely experience at Sankofa last night. The young couple who own and operate this delightful restaurant are... so friendly and offer great service with their very tasty menu. I had already heard about their famous garlic fries and was alsorecommended to try the Beef Suya... spicy is not normally my preference, but the Chef then educated me on the African history ofthe dish and insisted that I try it... and I loved it! Booked on the street patio but the music was better on the other side so I switched tables food was delicious and plate size was... generous. Kitchen was a bit backed up so food took a little longer then expected but the drinks made up for it. 4 out of 5 justdue to the timing of the food. Read more
Dinner was GREAT - very flavourful!! We had two kinds of wings, two racks of ribs, suya beef and macaroni cheese. Everything was... delicious and full of flavour - which we all loved! The seasonings and sauces were really good. It was an amazing aroma in thecar the whole ride home. Online ordering and curbside pick up was EASY and everything was correct. Staff interaction wasexcellent too. I only wish the restaurant was closer to home, but we were happy to make the drive to pick up dinner. Soon wewill return and dine in. The security guard at after hours on Fridays is rude and unprofessional. He kicked out a friend who had recently arrived…when... I asked him why he was kicking him out, he refused to answer and for asking him that question, he kicked me out too. I spokewith the owner and he told me to just follow what the security guard was saying. If you drop out of high school and want tobecome an unprofessional security guard to imagine that you are a Cop or RCMP, this is the perfect place to apply. Read more
