Deadly little spot for a pint and some food , very trendy interior, well ventilated and cool. Went for a stroll down the... harbor and surrpunding area , stumbled into this little gem Merit Brewing . Nice brewery! I ordered the Waves Fruited Sour and it was enjoyable on a warm day. I also had an order of fries with a side of... spicy mayo and sesame mayo. Again, enjoyable. The styling of the brewery is a nice mix of old and new with a bit of anindustrial flavour. Great location on James Street as well. Recommended! Read more

I honestly don?t love their beers (too many sours for me) BUT I do love their food. The sausage menu here is elite and they?ve... got tons of options! Personally I preferred the Philly cheesesteak because it was more flavourful and fatty, but the pumpkinspice sausage was super unique and definitely worth trying. Read more
Had a great experience! First time there so they explained everything in a efficient but fun manner. Love that they are doing... the European style of pub (order drinks and food at the bar, pay up front and they bring it to you). Food was amazing. I am notbig into stouts or dark beers but I highly highly recommend the desert first beer- it's has a light sweetness but highlycaffeinated as it's supposed to resemble the taste of tiramisu but with the stout after flavour. (Not a beer connoisseur sosorry if my lingo is off). Also bought some of their own home made sausage, I would try them right now if I wasn't so full!(Brie and apple, butter chicken). We stopped by after a late lunch for a quick drink and snack. This is a nice and popular place to hang out with friendly... servers. The reason for 4 stars instead of five is because 1) compared to other breweries, their food menu is more limited; 2)the bread for the meatloaf sausage bread was soggy although the sausage tasted good.
