please support this hamilton local restaurant, small cozy family business settings. great value of the dishes; amazing balance... of the portion of the dish, every table needs a take out box, image how big the dish was. the bread was great w the garlicbutter, i had the seafood angel hair. no complaint at all , highly recommend this place and share dishes is more a smart way totry different foods among ur companies. Absolutely amazing food and service. About $30 a plate and the portion sizes allow you to be actually full! We had the chicken... parm, alfredo, and the smoke salmon with linguine. So good! Friday night is the best (props ladies), would recommend????????they'll bring you out fresh bread but they also have delicious app options like mussels and bruschetta. Read more
Food was absolutely delicious and lots of it. You could share an entree with your partner or friend. I brought mine home for... another meal. The service was very friendly. The space is small so I would recommend a reservation. Only thing I would say isthat the place does need a freshening up and maybe new tables and chairs. Also I would recommend linen tablecloths. Beautiful dinner with my daughter at this gem of a restaurant last night. Ambiance is perfect with its dark walls, low light... and intimate seating. We felt like we had escaped to a different city for a couple of hours. Food is delicious and the staff sovery friendly and attentive. Highly recommend you check it out. Tremendous evening. In a small stripmall located 2 min off the Upper James St exit on the Lincoln Alexander Pkwy (affectionatly called the LINC) is... a tiny corner restaurant. This unassuming little bistro is home to one of the best tasting pasta and selection of sauces andtoppings I have had in Southern Ontario. Welcome to La Spaghett!! This little bistro has only about 10-11 tables. Reservations is highly recommended. I was amazed by the amount of traffic this cozy little place had. Here is therundown...Homemade pastas...choose one...Around 30 or more different toppings and sauces to choose from. Everything ranging froma simple bologanaise to a Roquefort Rustico (Blue Cheese cream sauce with bacon, leeks, tomatoes, walnuts etc). Sit, talk,wait, drink...enjoy the ambience, enjoy a huge appitizer. The goal is that it will take time for your entree to arrive..that isbecause nothing is pre made...everything is made to order. You don't like mushrooms? you can remove them. Want chicken breastwith your sauce?? Who said you can't have a bologanaise topped with a chicken breast? Just ask. Getting your meal is anotherstory...HUGE monsterous servings...I was told not very many people finish their meals. I ordered a Sundried Tomato Pesto withchicken, with a little alfredo cream sauce. I looked and their was actually 1 1/2 chicken breast in my dish. I was fullyexpecting some chopped up chicken....nope....1/4 cut chicken breasts in my meal. My wife had the cheese tortallini with a rosesauce.....so simple...so cheesy. The meals are a little on the higher price scale for an entree, but don't be fooled...this iseasily a 2 meal takehome kinda place. My opionion .....eat there...support this awesome local restaurant. Very quaint Italian restaurant on Hamilton mountain. Make sure to get reservations for your visit. A ton of variety of pastas... and sauces; red, white, and butter. Friendly staff and always a good visit. They are respectful of time and don't rush youthrough your meal. Read more
First time returning to La Spaghett after three years, I was disappointed. We had Primavera with cream sauce and Salsi Di... Pommodori with tomato sauce, which tasted okay but not as good as what I had remembered; my friend stopped eating after a fewbites. Also, their prices had gone up a lot since my last visit and had become much higher than similar dishes from otherItalian restaurants. I used to recommend this restaurants to all of my friends loving pasta and I am sad to having to give thisreview. Read more
