From the outside it looks a little run down and when you head inside it's got the typical old pub vib but definitely worth the... visit. Their patio is large and very private with two new TVs to catch the game. They warned us how understaffed they were soexpected a long wait but to the contrary food came out quick. Everyone enjoyed their meals especially the homemade hand cutfries. Definitely recommend and will be going back to try something different. Read more
I heard good things about this place, sad it turned out to be such a bad experience. First off, I knew right away they were... severely understaffed. 2 servers for an entire restaurant on a Friday night is just a recipe for disaster. Secondly, I orderedwings (pretty simple) and they took OVER AN HOUR to come out. That is probably the longest I've waited for wings in my life. Icould hear other tables around me complaining as well. I've worked in service for a long time, and I felt absolutely terriblefor the servers, as they had to deal with angry customers, but in all fairness, if things in the kitchen are backed up by anHOUR, it's probably a good idea to let people know that before they order food and then have to sit there and wait for over anhour. MAYBE I'd understand slow food and service if it was packed to the brim, but the restaurant wasn't even full! There wereplenty of empty tables, and now I know why. SIDE NOTE: My friend ordered perogies for $15 and he got FIVE SMALL PEROGIES. Howis that a reasonable price? Read more

Finally stopped in at Buddy's in Hamilton. Its been on my list for a while as they have an awesome tree covered patio and it... would be a waste of a great Sunday afternoon if I did't drop by. Patio was busy, but we didn't wait long. Plenty of tables,hightops and seating for all sizes of parties. The patio is tree covered and fenced and adds to the great patio feel. Theinterior dining was not open, but that didn't stop patrons from the welcoming local feel of the patio. If your looking for puband bar comfort food...this is a great place. If your looking for more complex fare, this may not fit your palate. Good sizedportions and excellent taste. Staff is friendly and attentive. Covid protocols in place. Chicken wings the way they were meant to be, hot and crisp. Had wings, pizza, garlic bread with cheese and potatoe skins.... Fantastic, throw in cold beers and that neighborhood bar atmosphere ???? A true hidden gem. Great service and cooks. Read more
